Considering the Met didn't want to prosecute in the first instance I suppose we should be grateful that they received any fine at all.

Allowing one friend into your home - £2,026 fine
One 28-year-old woman was ordered to pay £2,026 for inviting a friend to her home on March 21 last year in Caewern, Neath. PCSO Michael Griffiths said the defendant admitted her friend was not part of her support bubble.

For the crime of allowing a single other person into her home, she was eligible for a fine 40 times higher than Boris Johnson. It is unclear how many people attended his birthday party, but it was undoubtedly more than one person after Number Ten admitted "a group of staff" had attended.

Wow, that doesn't seem very fair, I know of someone fined something like 40 quid for committing the same offence 2 grand is ridiculous

I remember reading an article last year of people fined something silly like 800 pound for driving their car on an unnecessary journey.

The number and types of restrictions were totally excessive. You read that article and you see people at no risk fined for giving other people at no risk a lift.
We lost the plot, driven on by some worst case scenario scaremongering.
