QUOTE: "The court heard he used drugs including Xanax, cannabis and amphetamines, and had a volatile temper."

DRUGS YET AGAIN! And there is no way whatsoever that cannabis should imo ever be classed as a safe drug to be decriminalised.

I spoke to a senior mental health professional a few years back (now retired) and his opinion was that drugs like cannabis (skunk especially) and speed can (his words!) QUOTE: "flick a switch in an individual's mind that will never go off". Meaning that someone can become extremely mentally disturbed and dangerous from the use of on a permanent basis.

You are so right
Legalising it won’t help at all.
Speak to anyone in Vancouver about it.
It would be low level cannabis and punters would seek stronger shyte from illegal dealers ,as they do now.
We can’t cope with burglary so do we legalise that ?

You won't get stronger from street dealers, quite the opposite. De criminalising it has worked in Portugal and the last i read in Vancouver too
