I've somehow lost my sound/audio device on said laptop, I was watching Ospreys v Castres on stream, when laptop decided to upgrade, when it finished upgrading and restarted, I went back to the stream I was watching, but found my sound was gone, when I place cursor on sound symbol at bottom right hand corner it says No Audio output device is installed, I tried solving it, but I've failed miserably ffs.

Are you sure you haven't been attacked? Does your laptop usually restart and upgrade without warning? Boot in safe mode and run a scan. |  |

No, I see what saying, but I had a box up earlier saying upgrade now or postpone which I did, for 4hrs, but I didn't notice a later box, l just lost the screen I was on watching the rugby. | |

Sorted now, did a system restore to an earlier point, seems like the automatic update fuked it up, need to find out a way to turn automatic updates off now. | |

I've got the sound/audio device back now, but the sound volume is shit, but it has been like it for ages, only way I can get a decent volume level is with the head phones, fuking annoying. | |
