Not Swans related but such a shame.

Maracana in a state of ruin as Brazil’s authorities leave ground to rot after lining their pockets

"Winning" the prize to host World Cup/Olympics is a poisoned chalice. Never worls out well. Look how West Ham have been given the Olympic Stadium cos nobody wanted, knew what to do with it.

Some of the stadiums in Brazil have become white elephants. What a waste of public money.

One particular stadium in Brasília has a capacity of 72,000, yet Brasília’s top club play in the fourth division. They don't play games in the stadium except for special occasions. Now the second-most expensive soccer stadium in the world is being used as a parking lot for busses, and as office space for government bureaus.

Shame its all gone to shit, with no real lasting legacy from that world cup, because quite simply, that was the greatest football tournament I've ever witnessed in my life time. Goal after goal after goal, incredible stuff, every game seemed to be end to end. Wish all tournaments could be like that one.....with wales included of course
