I've been watching this on the Sky History channel for a while.
Its a US TV show, they get 4 smiths in who have to make blades & swords out of various metals.
One of its main judges is Doug Marcaida - an edged weapon combat specialist who also designs some of the world's deadliest blades. Doug is a highly skilled martial artist who has also studied fighting styles and techniques around the world. (yeah I took that off Wikipedia)
He goes mental testing the blades on various things like a ballistic dummy or an entire pigs carcass... cutting them to shreds or destroying the weapon.
But History have now decided to edit the show, you see him holding the blade, next scene is him walking away and you've not got a clue as to whats happened, its very frustrating especially as they show other judges attacking other things including armoured dummies.
