TV licence for care home residents 11:39 - Feb 18 with 671 viewspikeypaul

On another thread someone stated a relative was being forced to pay the TV propaganda tax although they were 99 and living in a care home.

They will not need to pay this if they get a Accommodation for Residental Care License (ARC) it costs £7.50, this is only needed if they watch in their own separate accommodation and not in a common area.If they have already paid the reeducation tax then they will be entitled for it to be repaid.

I hope this helps the elderly person being chased for the reeducation propaganda tax , if it saves 1 person the tax it was worth posting, maybe someone will remember who posted and pass the information on.

And yes it was the BBC that ended the free licence for the over 75s despite the know nothing lefties trying to blame BOJO , in the last charter agreement the BBC agreed to cover the payment in return for the government to allow iplayer and the like to be chargeable and also allowing the BBC to increase the tax yearly by inflation. The government stuck to their part of the agreement unlike the BBC.
