His title may have been Greek but that wasn’t the family background. Fleming’s Bond was the son of a Scottish Laird and a Swiss aristocrat. Our Phil was European nobility at Gordonstoun. It’s not that much of a leap. Plus both he and Bond were Naval commanders. It’s all in the tailoring though. The D of E was a bespoke clothes horse all his life. Never less than immaculate, fair play. |  |
