Wouldn't give a penny to either, although the missus does put together a bucket of sweets and lollipops for when the little kids come around on Halloween, not to disappoint.
Which probably makes us hypocrites, because we certainly don't agree with the Americanised nonsense.
Oh, how I wish they saved their energy and to go carol singing at Christmas, or wishing you a Happy new year, there hasn't been either at our door for many years, even though we were always very generous to those that did call. |  |
