Just finished watching this very moving drama but putting the actual incident to one side
Was she a heroine or selfish? She seemed to have no interest in her family when Kevin died.I lost a sibling at a young age and it destroyed our family, my mam did the opposite to Anne she just buried it and hardly mentions my brother and the oldman suffered with depression hit the bottle and died a youngish man.

Everyone is different I suppose

You often hear of cases where a young person has died, for whatever reason, and the family has been torn apart, with the parents divorcing or separating, as in this case.

I did wonder, like yourself, whether Anne ignored the rest of the family and became obsessed with her quest to Justice.

However we should remember it was a dramatisation which focussed on her campaign, and it does seem that the daughter has been very supportive.

I watched it as well and it lead me to read up on the whole thing , for some reason I never took any interest in it before , I could not believe what went on ,unbelievable the way the system acted . Back to the question yes her family life suffered but how many family’s got closure thanks to her persistence .

"Walk a day in my shoes " then maybe we could understand
I've lost family over the years but never a child , and I couldn't imagine the sense of loss , my friend's daughter died at a young age and his grief is as great now as it was nearly 20 years ago .
