| Joel Latibeaudiere update 10:41 - Aug 19 with 569 views | KeithHaynes | OS Russell Martin has confirmed that Joel Latibeaudiere will be out for at least three months after a shoulder injury sustained during Swansea City’s draw with Millwall on Tuesday evening. The head coach says that the rest of the squad have recovered well from the match midweek and he’s expecting the same squad again for Luton Town on Saturday (3pm kick-off). “I feel so sad for Joel,” he said. “He’s one of the best pros, one of the best lads, and his mentality and focus every day adds value. “He'll be out from three-to-six months, hopefully three but we’ll get an update from the scan next week. “It’s tough to take, he’s come back in such good shape, and his performances this season — in any position — have been incredible.” Martin said he is working with his medical staff to manage the workloads of the rest of the squad to ensure they are physically ready for Luton Town on the weekend, but says his players are in a good place. “It’s been a good couple of days. We were on the grass with some, there was recovery for some others, but the squad is looking good,” he added. “They’re all in a good place." | |

I really hope not, I'd much rather Ogbeta was given a chance, at least he has some pace. Better still, revert to a back 4. I don't really see how he can describe Lati's performances as incredible either. He's either slagging players off in public or heaping hyperbole on them.

As I’ve said elsewhere Latibeaudiere is only a quandary not a loss. Ogbeta would be interesting.

Cant seem to find film of the challenge, but at the time I thought it was a bit "over the top"

I'd like to see him given a chance. We are searching for replacements that we cannot afford so why not use every resource that we have. It seems churlish and maybe even childish to ignore any player when we obviously need everyone we've got.
