He adapted and it nearly worked. The US people would have kept him. An ideal person to sweat the assets. No money better results.

Martin was cut some slack and limited good signing were made band before he arrived Piroe Obafemi and regrettably Walsh. The US owners gave him some money to bring in Fisher Downes Ogbeta and Burns.
