I did not hear anyone singing ‘Here’s to you Russell Martin’. No boos either. Everyone we spoke to either had given up on Martin in the last seven games (seemed to be a recurring figure) or long ago, apart from one young man who said he was close to wanting him gone but still pondering. Good natured crowd with lots of graveyard humour. | |

If the report of the conversation with Kaplan had appeared before the game rather than after it, I think there would have been a lot more anger there last night. Everyone seemed to assume Martin would be gone soon and this nightmare will be over. Or this phase of the nightmare anyway. | |
