Cardiff isn’t the same, possibly the fact it’s a larger city but without the support it should have from their population. Sol Bamba is trying. People may disagree but I think part of Cardiff’s problem is Swansea City, the success in the last 18 years, a generation of lost young fans to the Swans in what were allegedly strongholds in south wales towns that no longer exist. Kids love success and the Welsh side with all that in their formative years when getting in to football was on match of the day. Swansea is a more traditional city, it’s smaller and personally ‘can be’ more welcoming, that’s why so many stayed there for so long, even Bob Latchford. The club has done many things wrong but we have to concede it’s done many things right. From the more attractive managerial appointments to players who will always be revered to the branding of the club. Mind you after yesterday I’m still floating about on cloud 9.

So am I mate. Still can't believe we won in the 99th minute, when only 5 were added on 🤣🤣 And to top it off my eldests RL team won their game today in similar circumstances. They were 16 - 6 up at ht and were losing 22 - 20 until the last set when they scored a try to take it to 24- 22, with the final whistle going after the missed kick. The scenes after the game weren't like yesterday's though 🤣

Actually the first 4.31 of the added time was taken up with Cardiff players ( NG ) as an example sitting on the floor. They paid the price for time wasting.

Swansea is smaller, you know if something is on etc…like a match. Cardiff is so full of people not born in wales now it’s insane, it’s like cardiff city don’t even exist to many. We do however have quite a lot of young fans, probably picked up during our glory years as the emporer calls them….despite all the despair of recent years, compared the previous 20 we are doing ok. Put it this way, the first cardiff swansea game I went to was in div 4, about 6000 fans. As bad as it was there has been 28,000 at the last two here. [Post edited 2 Apr 2023 19:39]

Mate swansea were in division 3 when I started following the Swans. One cardiff game full of thugs that wanted to act hard put me off. The Swans for me have always been a footballing family of like minded people. I love football not acting hard and having to swim half a mile
