If you follow these thing a nice round number to remember.

These are good times for the FT because of the performance of oil and gas stocks, BP, Shell, miners Glencore and Anglo American and BAe Systems who are g doing good business replacing older kit sent to Ukraine.

Hopefully poster will not remember post in three years time when it is 4000 again.

The best time to invest was January 2003. This also related to military matters. The US Abrams tanks sank in sand on the road to Baghdad and got enveloped in a dust storm. They were notionally sitting ducks for the Iraqi air force and there were concerns about an embarrassing defeat which gave the market yips. It was around 3700 then.
