It's nothing to do with internet speed, its to do with the hosting/web design.
Page transitions and refreshes are incredibly slow in comparison to every other website out there.

I found a similar thing happened to me a few months back, after quite a few FFS's, and calling my tablet a complete piece of crap, I realised I was still logged into surf shark, I'd nipped over to France to watch the game and forgot to log out🙄, I returned back to Swansea, and my Internet speed was super fast once more. ☺
