Do the kids in school have water safety taught? We used to have a water safety officer come around and give a presentation when in junior school. No swimming in rivers etc. I became a lifeguard as a part time job ( mainly pool) but i did a few presentations for guides brownies scouts etc. The usual how to coil a rope throw it in, how to keep afloat in water etc.
Whether its my bsckground but when on hols around the pool and at the beach im constantly on the look out. Ive pulled 2 kids out of holiday pools who otherwise were in trouble. I was at saundersfoot yeterday and couldnt believe the number of kids in armbands with inflatables etc in the sea without supervision.
No different to any other politician. All in it for themselves. Plenty of labour voters in the office i work at and they have finally reached the conclusion that they are all in it for themselves. Career politicians, always with one eye on whats best for them and their career. So far detached from reality that they think a couple of quid off a day out makes a difference. ' hey love we cant pay the rent or feed the kids but lets take them to alton towers theres a few quid off today and we can pick up some biscuits for dinner on the way there'.
Every club needs a curt or an O'leary whether that be grass roots or professional.
He was a steady eddy, but when he played his football brain was superior to his actual talent, and when he used to commentate i always found him insightful.
