Do I understand correctly that this game isn't being shown on sky sports+ ? Any idea why it isn't televised? I thought they show all midweek fixtures as a matter of course. |

Formation:
1)Start with 4-3-3
-pacy wide players (Poku, Dembele) who can beat their man and whip crosses in
-instruct CMs not to pass to the wingers but instead pass sideways and back to the keeper who will punt it long to Frey
2) After a poor start to the season switch to 5 at the back
-Having already loaned out all our young wing-backs (Adamson, Larkeche, Santos) play Dunne and Fox as wing-backs
-Move Field into CB as all our fit CBs are playing WB
-Sign a 38 year old free agent CM to cover for Field
-Keep EDB at the club but only give 60 mins playing time over 12 sub appearances
3) After only scoring 15 goals by March, switch to 4-4-2
-Only have 1 fit striker by this point so play Smyth/Dembele CF
-Finally start getting crosses into the box
Reinforcements:
-5/6 more goalkeepers for the development squad
- 4/5 loan signings from Prem clubs, plus 2/3 free agents in their late 30s; but only in positions where we have promising youngsters who they can keep out of the team
Plan for CFs:
-Play Frey as lone striker 90 mins every game until he disintegrates
-Replace with Celar and repeat
-Loan Kelman out to Swindon; recall him in January, play him in 3rd round of FA cup and then not again til April; see him score 8 goals in last 5 games of season; release on a free |

Agree, those two poor today, as was Palmer. Alexander-Arnold decent in midfield though, but so far Konsa making the biggest claim for the squad for me. Think we'll need to be a threat from set pieces to do well at the Euros if we play like this against opposition set up to frustrate us. |
