I didn't think the Celebrity version would work but to be fair it was a great success and I really enjoyed it. The celebrities are, on the whole, genuine celebrities and most people will know them. I think there is a scramble to be on the show after it's success. I do think these type of shows have a shelf life though. How the Apprentice is still going is beyond me. That lost it's spark years ago. |

I have just returned from a few days in Cyrus Mel. We were in Pegeia not far from Paphos. Some incredible thunder storms but mainly at night. luckily. Meanwhile, back in the Cronx it is a lovely afternoon. |

We used to regularly see their battered up old coaches when driving to away games in the 80s. There would often only be a few hundred QPR at a lot of those away games so you did start seeing the same regular faces. The coaches they were able to hire seemed to get worse and worse over the years though! Main incidents I remember were at Charlton and Derby and of course Luton. And home games against West Ham and Cardiff. I have seen a few of them at games in recent years as well so at least some of them are still around. |

We all had a good day out (the lot I go with) and gave them a good game I thought. We were in lower tier though which is just about bearable. Getting home was a ball-ache though. Add that to the fact it has been moved to the Friday and it is a no from most of us. |

I couldn't agree more. At the end of the day we go to be entertained. Well I go anyway, but sometimes, like Saturday, we remember that is what it was all about. I don't really care about the stats in the first few games, but what I saw was fantastically entertaining and showed loads of character. |

JS really appreciates us. I feel a bit sad he doesn't really have a song. Even Julian Stephans B & W army would do! |

Talk about contrived. A word that rhymes with Cirkin ! Reminds me of a limerick I once knew that started 'there once was a lady called Spickers' One of my mates wouldn't let me recite it. ' You can stop right there' he said, 'no-one has the name Spickers' [Post edited 14 Sep 14:47]

Sorry, I upvoted this by mistake. Seems quite a balanced thread to me so not sure what is nauseating. |

Seems to be something wrong with those championship figures as well so the difference may be even bigger. If 24 clubs spent a combined £335m then the average is nearly £14m each yet you say Swansea were the highest and their spend was less than that. We know our spending was only a couple of million as well so I suspect the £335m figure should be lower. |

Looks like the sort of stand they put up for the big golf tournaments |
