The FA has shown that they considered to charges, particularly the watching of a training session from a public place in open view of all, as overly excessive for a minor infraction. There is implied criticism of the EFL in their full statement with the word "independent" included! The committee included barristers and KCs in no way connected to football unlike the heavy dominance of 2 Middlesborough-linked members of a 3-person appeal committee, probably nominated by Gobby Gibson.
Dragan Solak's statement was excellent comparing the independence, integrity and fairness of the FA panel to the EFL's. Maybe a bit early in the season to be further upsetting the EFL - "we will never forget" their treatment of our club. We will have to await the further attempts of the Middleborough-influenced organisation to disrupt our promotion push. I'd not be surprised to discover attempts to influence referees, find fake offences to deduct further points and other under-hand Middlesborough-inspired suggestions. As fans we need to be on perfect behaviour wherever we go. No more "we'll spy when we want" songs. The EFL would be only too happy to punish poor behaviour by fans by knocking off another 4 points. They've demonstrated their Middlesborough-inspired corruption and Gobby Gibson will be on the phone after every game.
Let's finish in the top 2, say "stuff you" to the EFL and cheer on Wrexham when they play Middlesborough in the play offs. |

As I understand the info coming out of the Canada Camp, Larin has had a back irritation; it was described as minor and his back is described as fine. Jesse Marsch gave him permission to depart the group 1) to avoid causing any problems with his back and it becoming an injury and 2) to allow him to prepare for his game at the weekend.
It appears everyone is overstating the "problem" (Middlesborough spies??) and I fully expect Kyle Larin to be lining up to start the game on Sunday. With Pompey's best central defender, Shaunnessy, missing I expect Larin to come off at half-time with a hat-trick!! |

Was a good win against a good side but once we settled it was quite comfortable. Larin was Larin, Pity no hat-trick, Azaz is class, ran the show, MoTM for me. Leo, perhaps settled to the fact he won't be leaving (hopefully) was back to the trickery and runs that made him set-up man extrordinaire last season. Most of the midfield went generally unnoticed, job well done.

Underweststand, getting confused I think. A senior official of boro is Chairman / General Secretary or some such of the EFL but has been kept "out the loop" The EFL said he was not involved in any discussions or seen any papers!
The solicitor/M'boro player has spoken publicly denying any bias. Banerjee works for a firm that represented Boro and other teams.
So we can see; it is all totally clean and pure!! HaHaHaHa
Of course, if we had been able to take the case to CAS we might very well have won. But along with much else, the EFL ensures that their decisions can't be questioned.

Just walk from the hotel to the golf course, up the hill and you have unrestricted views over the training ground, all one property owned by M'boro owner Gibson. There are no restrictions, hedges or anything else to stop you watching the entire training facility. You'd be hard pressed to find a hedge with a view of the facility. Just do what golfers and visitors do: stand on the hill and watch! |
