"She had disgusting 19th century views. Not a nice person at all"

Marx and Engels are an archaic, disgusting C19th viewpoint.

Still, a few on here and elsewhere can't get enough of them it would seem..

Lapping up all the big bad capitalism hate like kittens at a saucer of milk and wishing they were at Yekaterinburg in 1917 murdering the Romanov women and kids

The Bolshie left are vile, hate-filled Gollum-like creatures crawling from the dustbin of history. Once again they have shown their true colours the last few days.

Bloody Spain. How the hell have they got this far and yet you still feel they can go up a gear?

It really is anyone’s World Cup right now…

If this is politically motivated it draws a line in the sand.

I’m back in Wales at the moment and all the pub talk is about the rabid looney pro Pally left here

All my pals and myself have never known this level of myopic bile thrown at differing opinion.

I must admit to not being AW biggest fan but she served the good people of Maidstone well for decades. I respect those that are in politics for the right reasons. Courage Beliefs and Principles.

So very sad news. RIP Ann.

Forced to use Jones on the certificate by those treacherous, quisling Anglophile Rhondda registrars - they probably were sent to sit in the corner with a Welsh Not afterwards in shame...

A more plausible explanation seems his folks moved up North and got involved with the Welsh Nationalist movement of the 70s and this was the reason for altering the family names

Langstaff
at 08:39 4 Jul 2026

Yeah I think he might have struggled here as well is my gut feeling

Seems that the way Langstaff is best suited to play and the way Alex Neil wanted to play were poles apart. It's also a big step up and Millwall have got 3 other very decent strikers in Coburn, Azeez and Ivanovic who have bagged 29 league goals in total last season.

He'll probably do well at Salford and then a L1 side might come in for him next year

Russia cannot beat a load of drone users in Ukraine, their armed forces are spent, catastrophic loss of experienced personnel

They'd be nuts to attack Poland a NATO state although anything is possible

Only time I've ventured out of the train station was when we played them at the Hockey Stadium in 2005 - an awful experience even though we won.

"No time for England to adapt to altitude - Tuchel"

https://sports.yahoo.com/artic

Ecuador's Quito (9200 ft) based clubs dominate domestically and have consistently punched above their weight in South American Club Competitions.

From Wiki --- "Quito is the only city in Ecuador which has clubs that have won continental titles. LDU Quito is Ecuador's most successful team, as it is the only club from the country to have won the Copa Libertadores, in 2008, as well as four more international titles. The other club is Independiente del Valle, which won the CONMEBOL Sudamericana in 2019 and 2022, as well as the Recopa Sudamericana in 2023,adding on to eight continental titles for the city and the country .....An interesting fact about Quito is that the stadiums are located over 2,800 meters (9,200 ft) above sea level, which generally means that there is an advantage for the local teams when they play against foreign teams, and it has helped the Ecuadorian national team to qualify for four World Cups."

As I said the other day another problem in Mexico City is the air quality itself. When you flew into it in the 90s the sky suddenly turned dark yellow on approach and you thought WTF? that was the smog layer from 20m+ vehicles pollution. Because of its geographical position it has nowhere to go and no prevailing wind to disperse it. Apparently it's improved as you would expect in these net zero obsessed times but is still way beyond WHO levels of safety to public health. Walking around knackers you quickly. Both times I wasn't there long enough to acclimatise to it but the thought of playing 90-100 mins of WC football in that? Nah !

No doubt in my mind Mexico have a huge home advantage in the next game and also England, Kane aside, have been a bit crap so far...

This seasons shirt
at 10:12 1 Jul 2026

Looking at the new shirts of all clubs for 2026-27 the fashion trend seems to be towards a tighter fit - trouble is most fans are not toned athletes and enjoy a beer and a pie and so generally carrying more timber

As for the Swans it wouldn't kill them to put an accurate chest size chart in cms or ins on their online shop and one instore for guidance.

I have a Castore Rangers shirt which is 3XL but is more of a regular XL size - I expect there'll be more than a few disgruntled Basseys returning their new 2026-7 shirts when they get theirs home and find out they look pre-shrunk.
