Sorry if this has been mentioned, couldn’t see it anywhere.

Africa Cup of Nations
at 11:17 16 Dec 2016

Barrow isn't going as Gambia didn't qualify. Which means we are 1 of 6 prem sides who won't be missing anyone for this tournament.

Looking at some of our main rivals, they are going to be weakened.

Bournemouth -
Max Gradel

Hull -
Elmohamady
Mbokani

Palace -
Sako
Appiah
Zaha - potentially, if he gets his FIFA clearance

West Ham -
Kouyate
Sakho
Ayew
Feghouli

Sunderland -
Kone
Khazri
Djilobodji
Ndong

Full list -

Connor Roberts - Yeovil
at 15:15 9 May 2016

Picked up 5 awards, good to see.

Young defender Connor Roberts has capped off a fine season with League Two side Yeovil Town by scooping five honours at the club’s annual Player of the Season Awards.
The 20-year-old featured 54 times in all competitions for the Glovers after arriving on a season-long loan deal back in August.

A string of fine performances eventually saw Roberts pick up the Community Sports Trust Player of the Year, DSA Player of the Season and Away Travel Club Player of the Year awards, as well as being voted the Bobby Hamilton Young Player of the Year and the Western Gazette Player of the Year.

Rob Elliot - Newcastle
at 08:24 30 Mar 2016

Looks like he has a 'serious knee injury' after international duty.

Newcastle have Krul out for the season and if Elliot is now out that leaves them with 2 very inexperienced goal keepers and unable to get another one in as it stands.

Gutting for Elliot though as he's been playing ok and looked set to have a run for Newcastle and then possibly ROI in the Euro's.

Leon Britton Interview
at 10:16 18 Mar 2016

Excellent interview with Leon here, in celebration of his 500th game:

https://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/radio-wales-sport-specials/id881496403?mt=2&

It's around 45mins long and Owain Tudor-Jones is the interviewer. So there's a lot of old stories and a bit of p!ss-taking. Runs through from his first day at the club right up to today.

Fixtures - teams around us, next few weeks
at 12:10 9 Mar 2016

I’ve not paid much attention to the fixtures of our relegation rivals until now. I’d say that most would agree that Stoke away is the start of our difficult end of season run-in, so here are the fixtures up until then. I’ve included Palace as they are in horrendous form — 2 points from the last 12 games, and are suddenly on the same points as us.

Sat 12th — Monday 14th March

Norwich v Man City
Bournemouth v Swansea
Villa v Spurs
Leicester v Newcastle

Sat 19th — Sunday 20th March

Palace v Leicester
WBA v Norwich
Swansea v Villa
Newcastle v Sunderland
Spurs v Bournemouth

Sat 2nd — Sunday 3rd April

Villa v Chelsea
Bournemouth v Man City
Norwich v Newcastle
Stoke v Swansea
Sunderland v WBA
West Ham v Palace

Looking at that lot, we could well be safe just as our difficult run-in starts.

Ayew Staying - Huw
at 15:30 22 Jan 2016

I know Curt said earlier in the month that Ayew is staying as far as he's concerned. Well, now Huw has confirmed it.

"I spoke to the chairman this morning just to clarify the situation and he assures me that there is no way that Andre will be allowed to leave during this window.

"On that basis, whether Fabio was part of a deal involving Andre I don't know, but certainly Andre is out of the deal.

"Fabio Borini would be one of a number of players that we are looking at."

Whether he'll be here in the summer is another thing.

Loic Remy
at 08:54 22 Dec 2015

He's linked with us again.

Thoughts? Is he a realistic target?

He's only played 151 minutes for Chelsea in the league this season. Not sure if he'll be in their plans as I imagine they'll be looking at signing a striker in January. If we could get him then I think he would be a great signing.

I know we've discussed him last summer as a potential replacement for Bafe who was off to Dubai. I think the general consensus was that he would be on mega bucks but I don't think he'll be on much more than our top earners.

Swans/Huw shortlisted at Football Business Awards
at 12:19 3 Nov 2015

From the OS - http://www.swanseacity.net/news/article/swans-shortlisted-at-this-years-football

Interesting that they are up for Best Club Marketing Initiative and Best Marketing of a Football Club.

Also, the last para is very interesting - "The team have worked tirelessly on the CRM system and, as a result, the new database went from having 81,126 people (63,500 with email) to 163,412 (120,124 with email) — an increase of 50%."

163,412 people on the Swans database? Potential fans or am I misinterpreting this?

EDIT - Huw nominated for CEO of the Year too

Third place play-off

Everybody watching this or nobody care?

I just read that Vorm is the only player in the Dutch squad that hasn't made an appearance in this world cup. Do you think he will start? Van Gaal has been moaning about the relevance of this game so I'm expecting some changes to the line-up.

Brazil to win as they have a point to prove? Or are Holland going to be too strong?

Jonny Williams
at 22:38 28 May 2014

Not sure if it's been posted but I just found out that his agent is Jamie Moralee. The same as Neil Taylor and Ash.

Williams' agent Jamie Moralee has been quoted: "If Jonny is not on Swansea's radar I would be surprised, because at the moment there aren't many people who don't think he's got a massive chance.

"In the next couple of weeks I'll have a conversation with Steve Parish and then we'll see where we go from there.

"The most important thing for Jonny is that he is playing first-team football."

http://www.croydonadvertiser.co.uk/Jonny-Williams-agent-set-Steve-Parish-talks/s

Good or a bad thing? He likes the press it seems. Been here before with Taylor and Ash, again. I'd like to see Jonny Williams sign for us anyway.

Tom Ince - Thoughts on Sunday
at 12:52 25 Feb 2014

Looks like young Tom has inherited his old man's arrogance...

http://www.southlondon-today.co.uk/Sport.cfm?id=6338

“Swansea play nice football and did ever so well against Napoli - but will they be able to handle the threat we give them with Glenn Murray, Marouane Chamakh, Cameron Jerome, Yannick Bolasie, Jason Puncheon and myself?"

“It’s different when you play Manchester United because they keep the ball so well. Swansea play similar but are probably not as effective - they haven’t got the Wayne Rooneys and Robin van Persies who, when you do give them the space, will kill you off. We have to nullify what Swansea do and then play our own game. I’m sure Swansea won’t be able to handle what we do."
