I agree Oxford were poor but I also think it's worth saying that we didn't allow them to be able to get into the game unlike other teams that have came down here recently.. Granted they had one or two moments when we were a bit sloppy but other than that I thought our press when we didn't have the ball was fantastic and didn't allow them any breathing space to get into the game.. We done the same in the first 20mins in West Brom but couldn't maintain it but granted also West Brom are a better side than Oxford.. But with Matos you can definitely see a plan trying to be executed.. we now have ideas, patterns of play forming, wingers trying to take full backs on, crosses being put in without dilly dallying.. all very promising signs for me

Have we finally found one we can hang our hat on.. Thats a performance we've been crying out for, for a long time.. Aggressive in and out of possession only downside today we only scored 2.. That's the type of football that will get the fans back if we can keep it up.. And his passion at the end.. exactly what we want.. loved it

Got to call Franco out for their first goal too.. Whether it was a elbow or not it's the championship and you cant just roll about on the floor hoping for a decision.. it left a wide open gap.. to many of our players go down hoping for a call from the ref.. Franco, Ronald being the main culprits and throw Inoussa in there... Refs are not giving much these days..

I like Marco but like most of the others hes hot and cold.. The reason iv said Gally is that he seems to have a level of consistency about him.. He stands out even though we're gash at the moment

Im going to have to disagree sorry mate.. I don't think Burgess should even be in the team to be honest.. very very underwhelmed by him especially after the whole fanfare after signing him.. I think the only player at the moment you could say gives 100% every game is Galbraith.. I don't think Ben has handled the captaincy well.. He attained it after the Grimes debacle and to my eyes it's weighed heavy on him.. but time will tell.. Is Gally captain material? Only those inside the club will know that but he looks the part on the pitch

The first 20mins definitely showed there is something there to work with for Matos.. HOWEVER unless we stop offering up chances from corners and leaving players cross the ball in without no pressure then all that will be undone... How many times has the left winger lately had the freedom of the pitch because Key is nowhere to be seen.. it cant keep happening.. we scored 2 today and still i6 wasn't enough.. we're not good enough at the moment to be scoring 3 goals a game to win a match

It's not just going off today's game.. We've conceded 20 goals in the last 10 games not including the cup.. Even if your not good at maths youd be able to work out thats 2 goals on average per game.. wont get anywhere conceding that amount of goals

Worse we've had for years and I include Cabango in that.. Just simply cannot keep a clean sheet.. Even after going 2 up today you just know what was likely to happen at some point.. You cant trust any of them.. Key is soooo bad at the moment I cant believe hes in the team every week.. Burgess looks shot to pieces and certainly not a leader like we was hoping for from a recently promotion winning side in Ipswich... Cabango all at sea.. Unless we can somehow plug the dam soon I think we're in real trouble

A real frustration of mine is that we will not cross the ball into the box in wide areas when we've got time and space to do so.. Ronald and Key the main culprits.. we refuse to do it then end up back on the half way line or back with the goalkeeper!! So frustrating.. especially when we had Vipotnik and Idah on last night and still wouldn't do it.. Tymon does put a decent cross on but even on the left hand side its not quick enough.. Everything we do is slow and static

Very disappointing so far for me.. Came with quite a big reputation but he looks miles off it.. turns like a canal boat and his passing is horrific.. puts his team mates in trouble nearly every game..

That's it.. he also says there is a watered down version of VAR on trial for the championship

Some other key points he mentions:

We're in discussions with the council about buying the stadium because leasing it effects out PSR negatively

Planning permission going in for a big fans zone on the south side of the stadium

Snoop is having his own lounge at the stadium

We're going to be positive on the balance sheet in 3 years

Looking for a new investor from India hopefully

An excellent interview.. goes into a bit of detail on Modric and Snoop but most intriguing of all is what he says about the commercial opportunities we have in the pipeline due to those 2 investing.. exciting times ahead for the club especially on the commercial side anyway..

It's a yay from me but with the handbrake off.. first half was torture today although we looked pretty solid but toothless.. second half much much better but we gave them a shambolic goal.. but after that took control and really should have won.. If we can replicate the second half performance we'll be ok as long as we start taking these chances we're creating.
