Do you think the Euros will throw a wet towel
at 09:02 18 Jul 2016

over the cardiff swansea rivalry?.

I am not an away following cardiff fan, only home. And I go with my old man who is old and doesn't want to sit with the "loud ones".

I've got a season ticket for cardiff next year but the welsh games are what I am looking forward to by far. yes I know cardiff are a bit crap and that is obvious.

I hope all welsh players do well, so I've never felt less of a rivalry personally.

The Euros exceeded anything I've been involved with in cardiff. Making the world cup is my priority to be honest.

Anyone gone to Euros on they're own? :-/
at 11:53 23 Jun 2016

I've already been out but I'm dying to go back.

The time between games means everyone I know is unable + some are on holiday (the ones that I'd be confident of coming if they were here).

This is a bit sad isn't it?. Nearly everyone out there are in big groups.

I'm trying to find another sad, lonely human to join me by getting a coach trip to lille, but so far I've found no one.

Not the end of the world if I dont go mind. World Cup qualifiers begin in 2 months.

Edit - Just reread the above and it is ridiculous how over confident I and others are of beating Ireland :-O

We travel out tomorrow, till Sunday.

Thunderstorms forecast for the entirety.

We don't have tickets.

A possible alcohol ban in the centre.

And nut job Russian racists running about karate kicking civilians.

Shaping up to be a wonderful trip really isn't it........

Plaid mp on question time
at 11:04 3 Jun 2016

Did anyone watch it? Liz Saville-Roberts mp banging on about the need to pool resources within the EU, to create a better continent for all.

How funny, the need to work together as one.

Then hope for independence for a rural country of 3 million from an industrial one of 53 million.

When Plaid die, it will be a great day.

Putting all our futures at risk over their petty ideological battles. Speaking for a bigoted group that cannot forget. "Never forget the tyranny of your past". What tyranny exactly? No english person has ever done me harm?.

Are we never forgiving now?. So we should secede from the UK because England are the baddies. But then forget germany tried to murder us all less than a life time ago and become their little bitches in the EU.

Per head, England have the worst deal within the UK.

So STFU.

Plans for the euros?
at 11:13 23 May 2016

I would post on the cardiff forum but I think they've had a mass cull of anyone that argued. Not that I care.

Anyone going over?.

Or just watching it local?.

We're planning on watching wales england in the lille fan park. Eurostar from St Pancras tuesday the 14th, 11am.

Hopefully there'll be as many welshmen as possible as the russians will there in numbers with their game there the day before. I'm far from a fighter but I've heard they're a different kettle of fish to england.

Cardiff Swansea racist fans report
at 13:42 9 Dec 2015

The racist incidents involving Swansea City and Cardiff City fans, as revealed by British Transport Police

9 DEC 2015

BY MATTHEW SOUTHCOMBE

The behaviour of a minority of fans following the Welsh clubs has been revealed in official incidents logged by British Transport Police

The British Transport Police are kept busy on match days

British Transport Police have revealed they logged racist incidents involving Swansea City and Cardiff City fans this season.

The incidents can be revealed as part of 276 reported by the police between the start of the season and November 7, figures obtained by Trinity Mirror's data unit under a freedom of information request.

Monkey gestures and spitting at a police officer are included in the reports.

The vast majority of Swans and Bluebirds supporters travel up and down the country to follow their idols without causing any trouble, but for some that appears to be too much to ask according to the police log.

The behaviour of a section of fans has been logged by the BTP, with one incident involving 40 Swansea supporters on the away trip to Southampton amongst the worst recorded in the country.

The British Transport Police log says 40 "intoxicated" Swans fans "were witnessed to be taking part in racist chanting and making monkey gestures to a family who were sitting on the platform."

The Premier League match, which took place on September 26, was won 3-1 by Southampton.

The other Swansea incident happened two weeks earlier on September 12, the day of the 1-0 loss to Watford at Vicarage Road.

On that occasion a small group of intoxicated fans were reported by escorting officers after repeated warnings about their disorderly behaviour.

British Transport Police also record two incidents involving Cardiff fans.

On the day of the Bluebirds' away game against QPR in London on August 12, the police log says five supporters used racist, foul and abusive language whilst forcing their way through a platform barrier without tickets.

Another incident was logged on the opening day of the season, when the Bluebirds met Fulham at home. On that occasion a Cardiff fan spat in the face of an officer whilst being arrested for assaulting other passengers.

Most incidents were recorded against Aston Villa fans, with 22 logged. Manchester City and Celtic fans have been involved in 12 each, Newcastle 11 and Leeds and Birmingham 10.

There were also 19 incidents where the club supported was not known.

One of the worst incidents reported since the beginning of the season happened when a fan was beaten up by Manchester United fans during their visit to Aston Villa.

A group of United fans were harassing a young fan when another person intervened, resulting in the good Samaritan being struck several times by the three fans.

In September, a police officer was struck on the back of the head by a half-empty can of lager after it was thrown by an Aston Villa fan.

An incident involving Manchester City fans saw a 14-year-old subjected to racial abuse.

And a train guard made a report on behalf of a female passenger following 'sexual touching' by Everton fans when they travelled to see their side take on Tottenham.

Asked for a comment, Cardiff City responded by saying figures supplied by South Wales Police show there has been a steady decline in arrests of Bluebirds fans over a ten year period.

Swansea City have been asked for a comment and say they will respond.

Together Stronger?
at 16:07 11 Jun 2015

Now don't take this as a swipe at all of your fans but I would have expected more activity in talking about one of the biggest games in decades in Welsh International football tomorrow. I expect many of your fans make the trip.

A genuine question here but do many of you find the fact the Cardiff stadium is now seen as the national stadium as a turn off?. If so that is a shame, it really is a nothing issue. If we get to France there'll be none of this petty point scoring over the ground, we'll all be Welsh cheering on the team.

And also, I have rarely heard any Swansea player get booed, I think that is a bit of a myth. Your team has provided many of the current crop so any Cardiff fan will simply have to stomach it. And I think they do.

The bandwagon is in full flow and the FAW are doing a great job of building the hype. This is a great opportunity for Welsh football to move on from the "They're shit" opinion held by the majority for years.

Come onnnnnn!.

Why is there no thread on the chelsea fan?
at 11:28 22 Jan 2015

That was attacked by a few of your fans?.

http://www.southwales-eveningpost.co.uk/Hunt-Swansea-City-fans-abused-punched-yo

I've heard about it and I'm from the valleys?.

See I think that if that happened with Cardiff fans we would actively be looking for the people that did it. You would also be in up roar claiming we we 'scum' blah d blah d blah.

Rather than sticking our heads in the sand pretending it didn't happen. Trying to defend our 'saintly' image.

So. How does it feel to have a few knobheads at your club and people start generalising about an entire fan base?. Great isn't it?.

Why do you...
at 14:55 9 Jan 2015

Seem to have ingrained hatred for anything from Cardiff?. Call me scum if you want, I really don't mind.

But how defensive you are compared to the Cardiff fans on their forum is so clear. We allow Jack fans on our site, and they receive barely get any abuse apart from when they try and wind people up. Is it possible to discuss cardiff without speaking like a 15 year old on call of duty?. It is so childish.

Times have changed, not every cardiff fans is a dick head. The bad days have gone since tan and I havent seen a fight down the ground in about 2 years.

I much preferred last year to this year because of the two of us being in the same league. I don't care about playing man united or Chelsea, the build up to the derby was the most entertaining. Hopefully we are both in the same league soon.

And btw, a return to blue helps the derby and everything about it. The derby was seen as a damp squib around britain in comparison to Notts Derby, Blackburn Burnley, Bristol C v R which all blew us out of the water on TV.
