I think Yalcoure could thrive under Matos tactics of high energy/high press. He won't stop running and has more quality than Cullen who has a similar desire to challenge and win the ball back. Agree with a previous poster that our right side looks weak and should be the main focus in January along with another experienced CB to put more pressure on Cabango and Burgess. |

Agree it would demotivate Cabango if he was stripped now. Matos should have done it from day 1 of his appointment if he felt it needed changing. He's missed that boat so can't see Cabango being stripped now. Pressure off may help him though to just focus on his own game. Stamenic or Burgess for me, simply because I wouldn't want Galbraith to have that pressure put on him either and affect his performances. |

I suspect/hope that given the quick turnaround of matches since joining he will use his first two games to look at as many players as he can to assess the squad so wouldn't be at all surprised to see a raft.if changes on the weekend. Unfortunately, if it is the case... The players playing tonight didn't get the memo that they were potentially on trial. |

Yes. Maybe with a 5 iron but both his feet are weak as pi$$. Eom trained hard over the summer but still looks too weak for this league, a loan move to League 1 may be good for him. Franco is player who likes a long shot. |

So long as the football isn't ridiculously poor and we're picking up enough points then at least 12 months. We have a pretty decent squad but any manger needs at least two windows to get the players in to fit the style he's trying to embed. |
 | Forum Reply | Vitor Matos : The challenge is clear and it’s all here on the Indy at 19:35 23 Nov 2025
Whilst I desperately wanted Sheehan to succeed the results and level of performances were below what many expected and the time was right for him to go. He seems like a decent chap so I hope he gets another gig soon and proves to be successful. Other than a revamp of the backroom, a possible change of tactics etc, the other beauty of bringing a new manager in now is that I highly suspect he'll have been given some assurances of players he can bring in during the next window. So with what is already a pretty decent squad (which should be doing better) can now become even better. Playoffs are probably unlikely now (assuming it's going to take Matos at least 6-8 games to find a sort of rhythm) but not impossible. Let's all get behind him and the team and see how high we can finish before talking of playoffs again next season 😁 |

Would rather have seen Widell start ahead of Eom but it looks like there's a lot of energy to come off the bench. Probably a case of keeping it tight for 60-75 minutes and seeing if we can nick an equaliser or winner late on with the fresh legs. [Post edited 1 Nov 14:51]

Call it a pint when we cross paths 👍 |

You don't go from on the brink of bankruptcy and within one game of non league football to becoming a established premier league side because the "stars aligned". That suggests that it was luck which it very much wasn't. Huw and the other investors made the right calls at the right time, and we sit here today bemoaning the fact we're a mid-table Championship side which would have been an absolute pipe dream for most swans fans when he took the reigns. We are where we are today thanks to His and his board/investors and we shouldn't forget that. |
 | Forum Reply | Here comes the summer transfer rumour thread at 09:42 25 Aug 2025
Let's look at the cold hard facts with Vip. In the championship this season he's played 41 minutes (plus extra time) and scored 1 goal which = 1 goal for every 41 minutes played. On that form with 3,870 regular minutes left to play this season he could bang in 94-95 goals if he plays them all and we'll be a Premier League club next year! Still want another striker in though! |

Great article. Will keep an eye on FC Paris this year and see if he can keep up the form. Based on your report the jury is still out for me, could have been a one season wonder (Like Mcburnie for us). Glad Eze hasn't allowed rejection to stop his dream. He's worked hard and I'm m told has a fantastic attitude so his reliance and determination has paid off. |

He did great at Brighton, but not sure how much of that was the structure and support around him in the club because they certainly don't seem to have missed him since leaving. I haven't kept tabs in West Ham transfer business this summer, has he been backed and had a chance to bring his targets in? |
 | Forum Reply | Cullen at 19:09 23 Aug 2025
Being a local(ish) boy who's come through the academy we of course want him to do well but I just don't think he has the ability to play consistently at this level. He tries very hard, but the quality isn't there. I wouldn't want to lose him completely because he'd still be a useful squad member to come on and help close games out. But for me, he's (a) not good enough as a striker and (b) we have better options than him at AM. Because if his work rate he may be better suited to a CM role as Bellamy has used him for Wales but it'll take time to convert him to there and we have better options currently. |
 | Forum Reply | Ronald hits the winner but Galbraith is the engine room as the Swans beat the Bl at 20:14 16 Aug 2025
Galbraith was everywhere. He seemed to get better as the game went on too. Brilliant engine. Yalcouye looks a real handful too he'll find lots of space with his turn and pace. Eom has lovely control out in the left, but his end product is missing. He has no power in his shots so not likely to trouble defences unless he's running into the box. I think he's going to end up being nudged out of the starting XI in the next couple of matches. I desperately want Cullen to do well, but being a local boy who gives his all for the cause may not be enough, can never question his commitment but just don't think he's got the quality at this level, certainly not as a striker. Despite not really putting our foot down on the throats of Sheffield and taking full control of the game I thought we deserved to win the game. We were very lucky though not to give the late penalty away, I was in direct line with the incident and it looked like a clear push in the back to me. That be in g said... I am due an eye-test shortly!! |

Probably for another club if we sign Stamenic subject to the swans being able to move him on with his wages. |
