I have a little grandson called Noah who's 2 in October and I absolutely adore him. Can't comprehend what his family are going through. I have tears in my eyes just writing this. So so sad. |

I'm guessing the ponderous Cabango will keep his spot in the starting line-up tomorrow despite the obvious fact that Welsh & Lissah are our best combo in the centre of defence. |

Yes I think we would have done better but am not necessarily suggesting we would have won the game - nobody will know that for sure. This is just my opinion (if I'm allowed that) but I've never been a huge fan of Ben Cabango. Without doubt both Lissah & Welsh are better footballers than Cabango,more athletic and calmer under pressure. |

Hope Matos doesn't feel "obliged" to reinstate Cabango for this game. I think both Welsh & Lissah have been a fantastic pairing since Cabango's injury. Not only do they both possess quality on the ball along with an eye for an incisive pass but they also possess a calmness about them that must translate to the other players around
them. If it ain't broke & all that... |

How refreshing is it to see players of quality coming off the bench that CAN actually make a difference ? My signing of the season so far - Stephen Welsh ! I think he's been fantastic & to think he probably wouldn't be in the team if it wasn't for Burgess's injury. |

Whilst we're on the subject of Vigouroux, as much as I admire his shot stopping ability, his lack of awareness for a quick throw out when the opportunity presents itself drives me nuts. So many times you see our fullbacks in space wide on the touchlines ready to receive the ball to get an attack going but he totally ignores them only to linger on the ball allowing the opposition to regain their positions before either launching the ball primarily out to the left wing where the recipient is either already marked or it sails over his head. Keep an eye out for this when you watch the next match at home - it's more apparent when you're watching the game in person (as opposed to on TV) |

I agree with the concensus on here that we should probably cash in now for anything north of £15m. I know he hasn't had much time on the pitch but his body language suggests to me that he's ready to go. When Idah was on the pitch he was dropping deeper to get on the ball to link the play whereas Vipotnik was just moving purely across the front line waiting for things to come to him. |

I'm very disappointed that we haven't seen much of Leo Walta so far. He's the sort of creative player you need to unlock defences like Sheff Utd. He's also very useful at dead ball situations as we saw at the end of last season. Don't know why Matos doesn't fancy him and I am really concerned that he will want to leave due to lack of gametime and be brilliant somewhere else. Totally agree that Fulton & Stamenic should both be in the starting line-up for home games - it's too negative. |

I've been banging on about this for years but why o why can't football adopt a similar time keeping system to rugby. In other words if play is stopped due to an injury stop the clock. When substitutions are being made stop the clock. Then when the time reaches 90 mins the clock turns red & as soon as the ball goes out of play the game is over. This would instantly stop fake deliberate time wasting injuries & those very annoying obvious time wasting substitutions that take place around or after 90mins.
I can't really see a negative to doing that as no advantage can be gained by those commonly used time wasting antics that I have mentioned. |

Vipotnik will never make it in the Premier League because he misses way too many chances & never scores in a one v one situation. The vast majority of his goals tend to be instinctive strikes or set pieces. He will also be up against a better class of defender of course. |

I think you've got that just about spot on Dr W. If Matos doesn't start Yalcouye, Nunes & Galbraith in his midfield role after that second half performance then he will very much go down in my estimations. Fair play to him for taking the decision to change things at half time but for me the team that started the second half should start the next game. I also think you're right about Walta he should be in an advanced role not hovering around our half or the halfway line when we have possession. |
