Preston game
at 19:42 19 Jan 2022

Hello again, mate! As my game for Saturday has just been postponed I'd be happy to take that off you, thanks.

I don't have your number anymore though as I broke my phone and am using an old one for now, but I'm still on the same number.

Cheers

I had this problem as well, but ploppy's advice didn't help; all I got was an automated response from the streaming email address to say they're aware of the problem.

It went off just before Surridge scored. This better mean a full refund.

Preston ticket available - East Stand
at 10:33 17 Aug 2019

Hi, all

This is a long shot but I don't suppose anyone has a number for tycochjack, do they?

I've been PM-ing him since just after he posted, giving out my number (07872 326958) and made arrangements to meet him at 1115 to get the ticket, but rugby fans and useless train staff at Whitland meant I could not get on the train I booked.

In case I can't now get the ticket off him, I'll arrange to pay him anyway so he doesn't lose out, but would anyone else have one going spare?

Good to hear from you, Phil (Warwick = BtM on SEALS, right?) and Haydn. I'm currently living in Salford, so it was an easy ride to Preston and back (73 miles)!

WxmJax - They are in the Jack Army at Deepdale gallery, no. 22. I believe the one on the left made the racist comments and the one on the right the xenophobic remark about Celina.

Unfortunately I didn't hear from Kick It Out today so I emailed the club, who responded almost straightaway, and will be contacting me again in the coming days, so hopefully the net is closing in on the racist scum.

What could help is if the group of three 20-something lads who were sat a few rows down can be found, because one of them must have heard the Celina comment as he turned round immediately and looked at me. I'm guessing they are of Asian heritage but I'd not seem them before.

Thank you to everyone who's expressed support, but I will try to address points raised by some of the more cynical, although a couple of posts were so ridiculous it'd be a waste of time to respond to them.

Filming them was not a realistic option as they were stood right behind me. I did try to surreptitiously photograph them as they left their seats at the end, which was difficult as I didn't want them to know without a doubt it was me who'd reported them to stewards.

I reported them with about 15 minutes left - not immediately after the abuse - at a stoppage in play by going towards the concourse to speak to a head steward. Shortly afterwards, two stewards moved to positions close by to monitor them and two more came over to speak to them, which is when I moved out of the steward's way to the row below. (I asked the guy at the end of that row if he'd heard the racist comments but he said he hadn't - although he didn't exactly seemed shocked or outraged, which I thought would have been the natural response.)

Then... nothing. So I was left to stew, and worry, for the rest of the game, wondering if any of the scumbags (there were four of them) would say anything else, or do anything to me, presuming they suspected me of reporting them.

When I asked a steward after why they hadn't been kicked out I was informed they would need to hear the abuse themselves, but that CCTV footage would be used. Hopefully police will investigate further, as I believe they did with lip-readers proving that the Chelsea racists called Sterling a "black c@#£", not "Manc c@#£".

Therefore, I would have left it at that, knowing I could also report it to Kick It Out (who do have clear procedures, most relevantly here: https://www.kickitout.org/Pages/FAQs/Category/what-happens-to-your-report, although I didn't see any notices at the ground) in an effort to try to ensure our club does something, until the chief racist smirked at me on the way out. And as his mate then started behaving aggressively towards me, I'm not going to worry about any police action against me.

P.S. Anyone doubting whether I'm a genuine Swans fan could check the few previous posts I've made on here looking for tickets, or ask the SEALS on here (whose forum I use as Gazman).

Yeah, I was calling out a couple of racist pieces of s@#£ who were sat behind me in the second half, that I'd told the stewards about, but they didn't get thrown out, and one of them had the nerve to smirk at me as I was heading out.

That wound me up even more, so I let everyone around know that these p@#£&* had called one of our players a black c@#£ and then the other one started walking aggressively towards me so I grabbed him by the throat and pushed him back before the stewards came.

They also called Celina a Kosovoan [sic] dick and said "break his legs, he's only black" about the Preston no. 2.

I've reported it to Kick It Out and a steward told me CCTV will be passed on to our club, so hopefully they'll be banned.

P.S. No beer for me - I'm teetotal!
