Well I just signed up for ESPN+ and I see Darren Pratley plays for Charlton now.
Hopefully this is a sign of something familiar as I try to reconnect some feelings to the club other than visceral loss and disappointment. I watched the last two or even three seasons almost as a stranger, to the players and certainly to the owners and now to the supporters bodies all of which let us down.
But here we are again. A new season. A new team probably. (I ’ve seen some headlines, and I assume our “better” players have gone.). I’m not holding misguided hope for the stuff we can’t change but I know the Jacks are still there keeping the faith. Laughing and crying together.
Sheff Utd away last time I went was a right laugh in the snow. Weather is nicer today anyway...
