| Forum Thread | Intensity energy & desire at 22:12 18 Mar 2024
We have obviously had a god awful season by our standards but the big frustration for me is if we approached every game with even half the levels as we did on Saturday we’d probably be in the playoff contention at least. That should be the base mark going forwards week in week out now. I don’t think anyone would complain at any defeat if we have that level of commitment and desire. It’s when we lose and don’t lay a glove on the opposition that understandably makes people moan which has happened too often this year. Hopefully this is a turning point. |
| Forum Thread | Big Willy and hair at 22:15 9 Feb 2024
This is something that has always bothered me from a young age and I understand there may be many people on this forum who may disagree with me but I thought with this issue in the news at the moment I thought I might mention it to try and create a constructive and intellectual discussion. Of course I am talking about balding men who desperately attempt to keep hold of every last strand of hair even though it looks ridiculous. So here’s my hypothesis; Balding men desperately attempting to keep hold of every last strand of hair A) looks awful and B) ages them significantly. Exhibit A: Prince William aka big willy. He’s only in his early forties, is objectively a reasonably good looking chap even though I’m not gay and he has quite a young face but looks about 55 because he’s still desperately hanging on to that back and sides only look. If I were balding like that I’d just hack it off and go full Vin Diesel/Ross Kemp and just embrace it. It nearly always looks better than a Bobby Charlton comb over or a Steve McLaren Hair Island. I’ve always thought it utterly ridiculous. Any baldies on here agree with me? |

No waiting lists for them. King sausage fingers has got an enlarged prostate and princess Kate has an unspecified abdominal condition that is described as serious and required surgery. No doubt there’ll be many on here delighted by the news. |

Four years ago the bbc spent over eighty million pounds rebuilding the Albert square set for Eastenders. They have today agreed a deal with insurance giant Axa to sell it, their asking price? Seventy million. You genuinely couldn’t make it up. It’s all part of their cost cutting review where they have to find five hundred million pounds from somewhere. It’s financial mismanagement on an almost criminally incompetent level. |
| Forum Thread | Hull handball at 20:29 26 Nov 2023
Was it just my imagination or did a Hull city player pick up the ball while it was still in play and get a free kick for it? There was no refs whistle until after he picked it up? Think they scored shortly after too. |
| Forum Thread | SNP - Tough justice at 11:09 11 Oct 2023
Under new Scottish sentencing guidelines as long as you’re under 25 you can commit rape upon a 13 year old child in a park and still be free to walk the streets as “rehabilitation should be the primary consideration.” Am I reading this right? What in the sacred name of Desperate Dans hairy nipples are the SNP playing at up there??? Is there a single person on here who can try to defend this? The floor is yours. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-edinburgh-east-fife-67076504 |
| Forum Thread | The Fermi Paradox - Where is everybody? at 20:13 20 Sep 2023
Also known as “The Great Silence” this is the concept that the likelihood of advanced extra terrestrial civilisations being out there is overwhelmingly high yet everywhere we look there’s absolutely no evidence If we take our own species of human as the base example (we have to as it’s all we know),we have been on this planet for roughly 200,000 years. It has taken only 3000 years or so from the humble beginnings of mathematics and science in Mesopotamian civilisation to us landing on the moon and sending space craft outside the borders of our solar system. If one species can do all that in just three millennia and the universe is 14 billion years old then other species who existed before us and have been advancing for much longer should have reached the technological prowess to colonise entire solar systems or even several. Everywhere we look we should see them. But we don’t. So where is everybody? |
| Forum Thread | Incredible inventions. What will they think of next? at 12:10 21 Aug 2023
Never thought I’d see such an incredible technological advance in my life time. Ships will now be powered by wind utilising pioneering new technology known as “sails”. I’m not a scientist and I can’t explain the ingenuity of these new fangled “sails” in too much detail but in layman’s terms they enable a boat to be powered by the wind if you can believe such outlandish theories. If you don’t believe me here is an article, I had to check it wasn’t an april fools joke but it seems legit: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-66543643 |
| Forum Thread | It’s all part of the plan! at 15:44 26 Jul 2023
Speaking to some of my sources deep within the bowels of the club I have found out that what we are seeing is the very successful implementation of the secret plan, code name “Operation: Make everyone think we’re shite” designed specifically to lull the rest of the championship teams into a false sense of security. They will spend so long pissing themselves with laughter their stomach muscles and bladders will be severely damaged allowing us to rack up huge victories and ultimately finish on 140 points. Bookmark this. My sources are never wrong. |

Speaking from his 547 room palace with numerous mansions and cottages within the grounds the prince of wales and Duke of Cornwall has today said homelessness has no place in a modern progressive country. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-65997714 |
| Forum Thread | Interest rates going up again at 12:24 22 Jun 2023
To combat inflation apparently. Because the previous recent thirteen attempts were incredibly successful. It’s got a bit of the Blackadder battlefield tactics about it now. Doing the same thing we’ve done 13 times before is the last thing inflation would expect us to do this time. How much do these idiots get paid for making these asinine decisions? |
| Forum Thread | Life tips #1: Always read the label at 16:25 15 Jun 2023
After suffering through a few years of absolute personal hell I decided to treat myself to a very last minute all inclusive holiday to a luxury hotel on the Mediterranean Sea. It was so last minute I literally only had about four hours to get to the airport. So I stopped off at a local supermarket and randomly grabbed a load of factor 50 sun cream and aftersun lotion knowing my skin is probably the whitest known to man. I’ve nearly died of sunstroke driving to the shops in January that’s how pathetically white I am. Anyway the first day was lovely slobbing around by the pool in 32 degree heat not having to do anything but drink beer and innocently and accidentally watch all the lovely ladies with their lovely bums but despite caking myself in factor 50 I still contrived to attain severe burnage on my legs, feet, face, back, shoulders, stomach, arms and hands and neck. So before bed I grabbed what I thought was aftersun lotion I had picked up and smeared it liberally about my person. Except it was not aftersun lotion. It was self tanning water. Why they put these products on the same shelf is beyond my comprehension. I woke up to find the palms of my hands had been turned bright orange. Like I’d been tossing off some oompah loompahs or lovingly caressing Donald trumps butt cheeks for hours. Fortunately this product was absolutely useless on the rest of my body otherwise I would have ended up looking like I’d been tangoed. I spent the morning watching a series of YouTube videos on how to remove the orangeness from my palms. Solutions ranged from soap to gentle exfoliation to applying glass cleaner and various other acids. None of which worked. So I sit on my balcony with my red red skin and bright orange hands regaling my horrific tale in the hope it resonates with the rest of you so you never make the same mistake I did. Read the f*cking label. |
| Forum Thread | Celebrities/performers you like but also dislike? at 21:54 30 May 2023
Ben Elton I have a lot of respect for as a writer. When he stays off camera he’s written some of the greatest shows of all time. He pretty much saved Blackadder, the Young ones was obviously brilliant. Upstart crow etc. He’s done loads that I love. I’ve got a few of his books and enjoyed them. But when he comes on screen and performs or is interviewed about something I don’t think anybody else makes me cringe more. To the point I want to stick my foot through the TV screen. Anyone else have the same sort of love/hate relationship with famous people? |
