Gaffer on today's defeat
at 19:44 1 Jan 2026

Managers are not going to publicly give solutions (if they have one) to the problem as that’s going to play into the hands of teams we play over the next few weeks.

I just hope they do have one and it’s sorted out behind closed doors.

Norwich’s second took a deflection but looks like we deserved nothing out of tha game.

The game v Wednesday has to be a turnaround from recent form and for God’s sake someone has got to get a grip on Bannon from the off, not from 5-10 minutes in to see how he’s doing. We know what he can do so just stop him from the first whistle.

I’m not watching the game but did their second come about because we were pushing for an equaliser or are we just schite?

I too was a bit miffed when I saw the line up but feels to me it’s resting players in the hope of getting two straight home wins.
Mangers will, of course (and nor would I want them to) not say this as it’s giving things away but is always a gamble but with a club like ours that don’t have the resources of the elite, I can understand why it would be done if indeed that is the plan.

West Ham tickets
at 18:45 28 Dec 2025

I can’t see how they can issue any more as the blocks either side are for home fans and have sold tickets. It would be a logistical nightmare trying to sort that out if they’d have to re-allocate those tickets. Maybe as many QPR fans as possible can buy in those adjacent blocks to keep as many of us together?

As far as the ground goes, their fans got what they deserve. Besides, where else could they go? Part of the problem long before the Olympics came along was there was nowhere to relocate to. The 2012 games solved that problem but the Olympic people right royally messed it up by building a stadium not designed to be repurposed for football.

Over-performative load of rubbish. Pat on the back and a jolly good handshake is all that’s required.

Football and Sports - Brilliant One Week - Awful the Next !!!
at 14:45 27 Dec 2025

I know it’s a completely different level of football but it’s proportional, I watch a lot of youth football as my son plays.
This season they started off with a draw and five wins then lost four on the bounce without scoring and was about to lose the fifth 1-0 (never gone that many games without a goal) when we got a dramatic last minute equaliser.

Same boys, same line ups, same tactics (and we do have a plan B) but just can’t figure out why it derailed.
Hopefully a break and restarting in the New Year may help

It's sport, that’s how it goes especially in team games and why I can’t get so wound up by football.
It’s always been like this and always will. As I’ve said before, lots of post-match analysis of why we didn’t win a particular game is basically insinuating that we should win every single game. That’s never going to happen.
I’ve seen plenty of QPR games we’ve won that we should not have and games we’ve drawn/lost that we should not have. Real head-scratchers, but that’s how it is and no, i don’t have low standards or expectations, just what I think is pragmatic realism.

I know we’ve not won a Boxing Day away game since time began but I’ll take that.
I know Portsmouth are flirting above the drop zone but we have no right to win any game and treating teams as though we do (I’m not saying we did) is how games can come unstuck.

Plenty of teams dropped points today and I’ll take where we are going into the new year, with one more game of ‘25, compared to previous seasons when we were decidedly nervous.

Fairly straightforward…….Turkey, roast potatoes, gravy, peas, yorkshire pudding, pigs in blankets, stuffing.

Brussell sprouts are banned.

Merry Xmas to all on Loftforwords

I'm ambivalent towards it now as it (like football) has turned into a grotesque money machine where businesses have to rely (which is insane) on this time of year to keep afloat.

The kids, of course, love it so it's all about them and the joy I get from seeing them happy.

Happy Christmas to you all!

My missus is amazing at doing it and I'm like GaryBannister86. Normally I do it but this year I'll be distracting the kids this evening while she's upstairs wrapping their presents.

They'll want a new man in place now, rather than February/March, who will be able to use the January transfer window to move players in and out.

Airport - Hotels London
at 12:50 23 Dec 2025

Well, Heathrow is the closest and you can get to the ground via the Underground with just one change at Hammersmith (you have to come out of the station, cross the road and then go onto the 'Hammersmith & City' line) but I guess it also depends on where your local carrier flys to. Either way, public transportation to the ground is available from all airports around London but the further away (i.e. Gatwick and Stanstead) will take longer.

Can't advise on hotels, there's thousands of them. Hopefully others may be able to help.

I think the lesson to learn is not to be knee-jerk reactionary.

It’s a marathon not a sprint and we’re going to get good spells (where ‘are we going up/players are great/manager has to stay’ comments appear) and bad spells (where ‘are we going down/team is rubbish/manager has to go’ comments appear).
