I've read in a few places we're still hoping to sign another striker, and also that Garry hopes to play 2 up front this season so it's still possible there's a huge signing on the way. There's a long time left in the window yet.

I think it's a shame women's football gets shafted so much. In NZ the women would probably beat the men, and it's probably partly because neither the men or the women are all that highly paid (in fact, the men's side has more professional footballers but very few that play for 'big' teams or are on high salaries). I remember reading a story on the Beeb at some point about one of the England women who was going for her lawyer's bar. No professional male football player has to do anything like that - they're full time and get paid enough that when they retire a lot of them are set for life. Of course they're better players - it's the only career they'll ever need. This will not change unless British (in this case) audiences take an interest in women's football. There weren't players like Messi in the 1910s. |

As we should be. If we can get someone like Ayew on a free, then we can definitely afford to make a few cash transfers - not that spending bucketloads is a good idea. Should be another three signings that will at least make the bench on top of those two, I'd say. Maybe - maybe - a couple more. |

Ugh. Can we keep this season's one? I'll have the home shirt, I think.
I guess the advantage of playing in white is you never clash with the blue/red teams, which is almost everyone anyway. |
