Embarrassing...
at 23:08 5 Aug 2016

Just read that all looks agreed for Ayew to join West Ham...

I am honestly quite embarrassed that we're selling arguably our best player to one of our rivals.

Yeah, we may be getting a lot for him but what's money like that if we aren't going to spend it on someone better? Borja Baston's been linked, everybody seems satisfied.

Llorente is a decent signing but it won't be enough to take us to the next level. Probably our first summer since we've been in the Premier League where we've had a chance to take the club to the next level on the pitch and we've sat back and watched it walk past.

I'm honestly gutted and disappointed that we are willing to let Ayew go off to West Ham.

Aston Villa left back that has obviously just been relegated. One of their better players this season and is a promising player out of France. Nasty injury that ruled him out for the rest of the season but should be back come summer.

We should definitely be looking at him given the cut price now, better than Tayls for sure and I know Kingsley is showing promise but this guy is the real deal!

Fransesco Guidolin
at 23:01 9 May 2016

I have no doubt somebody has already posted something similar on here but I just wanted to reiterate my opinion...

I think Guidolin would be a good choice as manager next season.

He's come in, steadied the ship with a side he didn't exactly sign himself and yes, I know we've had a few disappointing results under him but we've had as many good ones. Also, people pointing at Curt for the wins at Arsenal etc but I don't believe it was all Curt for those wins, Guidolins structure didn't just disappear because he wasn't there.

I think his style, as defensive as it can be, can make sure we will never look like we are going down again and may be after a summer, he can bring in more familiar faces to create a team with chemistry and can play exactly how he wants.

We've got the money this summer, there are no excuses to not sign players.

As for the rumours regarding Rodgers & Martinez, I would hope to never see those two as our manager ever again. I know they left to go higher, but I think we need a manager that puts the club first and I am not entirely convinced they could do a better job than Guidolin anyway.

I know a lot will disagree, but this is my opinion...

Next seasons kit...

Any idea? I've heard we're up with Adidas at the end of this season and rumours that we are going with Joma? I hope not, terrible kit maker with terrible quality. Just wondering if anybody has heard anything?

Decent little player, can play across the 3 and would be decent back-up for Siggy if need be. I believe his loan as West Brom has ended, not sure what happened there but I think we could get the best out of him. Exciting prospect.

Tad embarrassing...

Surely I am not the only one to think what Williams said about having to Google Guidolin was a bit unprofessional? Undermining the new coach isn't the greatest first move to make... I might be over thinking it but I can't imagine it'd please the guy. Obviously we all did the same but he didn't have to admit it. Also, Guidolin himself seems to be too honest by admitting he wanted the Watford job, any point? I don't see why he'd mention that and it's allover the news too which is baffling.

Guidolin and the set up
at 01:45 18 Jan 2016

I must admit I didn't know who this guy was but having looked him up, he seems to be the real deal and it makes me wonder how nobody knew who this guy was. What also made me wonder was why he wasn't put as manager? I looked him up on Football Manager and it notes him as a director at Udinese which may explain something but I don't feel as confident in the situation knowing we'll have two coaches making decisions...It'd been a bigger statement to put him as manager surely?

Rudi García, a decent manager with a good record, unlucky to be sacked from Roma - I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't interested but definitely worth a look?

This summer...
at 15:17 26 Apr 2015

After what can only be described as a great season, I think this summer is the time to invest in the team properly. Forget stadium expansions and all the other things we've concentrated on over the last couple of years, there's no point to all that unless we have a team to back it all up. This is is the first season in the Prem where I've been confident we can take on the big boys after investing in a summer transfer window.

Everyone I've spoken to about transfers agrees that the 3 areas we need to invest in are at LB, wing and another striker. I've been a massive critic of Gomis since Bony left and although he's kind of proven me wrong by scoring, I still don't think he's got it in him to score as many as Bony did to help us get to that next level. It's also evident that at LB we need strength, Taylor needs a shot up his backside to challenge him in that area and that lad Fuchs from Germany is a good shout. At wing I think Montero and Routledge have done well, but we need to hit the next level, being able to sign Ayew would show a lot of intent and if we can afford his wages then why not? He's proven.

I know not everyone will agree, that's life, but I genuinely believe in Garry, the board and the club as whole to press on and take us to the next level.

Keep The Faith...
at 17:18 12 Feb 2015

I am like everybody else right now, upset about how we've not managed to get a striker in even though it was blatantly obvious we needed one, but I remain confident in Monk.

This season started well but now since injuries, suspensions and sales have come in we've struggled, just like any club would. There's no point making out we're in trouble because there's nothing we can do now to sort it but what we can do, what us fans do best is get behind the boys. Huw has said he has plans for the summer so hopefully that means Mitrovic is coming in, he's a very good striker, kept a close eye on him since his move to Anderlecht and at his age he is very promising.

Garry is bound to realise that Gomis isn't working out and anybody who thinks he needs time is just being too positive about him. He's a heavily experienced 29 year old striker, when was the last time you saw someone with that profile need to settle in? If anything he should be off to a flyer and then we'd worry if he could keep it up. He's showed absolutely no promise and I for one hope something does change in that area, but for everything else we need to stay positive.

STID.

Ridiculous
at 22:53 11 Feb 2015

I'm not a fickle fan, I despise disrespectful fans but I've hit a wall with Gomis. I was told I was talking bollox on here when I said that Monk was pressured in to playing him, but why wasn't he subbed for that completely non-existant performance today? and every time he has played. Oliveira has looked 10x the player Gomis has and he's even had to play out of position. Taking Shelvey off week after week instead of Gomis is ridiculous. Monk needs to learn. I have no grudges with the team or management, just that ego up front than thinks he's better than he is.

Rant over. On my way back to Swansea now, hope Olveira starts against United next.

Danny Ings - Why not?
at 01:03 9 Feb 2015

It may seem a little silly to suggest but... why don't we go for him? I know Liverpool and Sociedad are interested but realistically he wouldn't go in ahead of Sturridge at Liverpool and I doubt he'd want to move away from the Premier League.

His wages won't be high at Burnley, probably no more than £15k considering he hasn't signed a new contact since they've been in the Prem so if we offered £40-50k a week given he'd sign on a bosman so we could risk it? Did that for Gomis and even paid him £3m to join and look how bad he is? Monk has literally been pressured in to playing him because of the guys ego and he isn't repaying the favour.

Who agrees?

There's no reason we should go in to Saturday's game scared of getting a result. 11 players to each team, all equal when it comes down to it. Some might say Man Utd are blessed with a squad of world class players, but we can still kick a ball. How good would it be to wipe the smile off van Gaal, Rooney and the rest of the glory hunters faces? I'd love it!!

I hope we give them a real go on Saturday!

C'mon City!

New Stadium issue...
at 12:24 1 May 2014

Surely I am not the only person that feels expanding the stadium is a massive mistake in relation to the growth of the club? Our away attendances are poor, but home games yes, are considerably better but wouldn't it make more sense investing in the team to ensure our status?

What's the point in expanding when relegation looms for us? We just about stayed up this season and we all know if we had gone down the home attendance would have dropped, making it completely pointless to expand.

We should ensure our team is strong, as strong as an Everton before we start considering spending money on things like this.

Darlington not so long ago built a brand new stadium and look at them now. They don't even exist anymore and there's a stadium sitting there. Money should be spent elsewhere on more important things, the team.
