They are a data analytics firm hired by Swansea. If we had our own analytics then we wouldn’t be hiring a firm. Jay Lefevre was a video analyst, turned scout, turned now head of recruitment. |

Yes scouting operations and prior to that a video scout. There is no data mentioned anywhere there at all, he’s a scout. |

Says Jay Lefevre is a scout there in your link, don’t see data as part of his background. Dougie Freedman does the recruitment at Palace like it says in your link, Stevens was his assistant. |

Lefevres experience appears to be solely in scouting operations so don’t think he will have much of a data background. https://www.transfermarkt.co.u Ben Stevens more rounded but doesn’t look like he has a huge amount of recruitment experience, most of it probably coming from his recent assistant role. https://www.transfermarkt.co.u I think this deal will essentially act as a recruitment department in a box to replace the team we just lost. One just went to Cardiff although can’t say I had heard of him. |

Players rarely get universal praise from fans. Vipotnik divided opinion until very recently and he’s probably going to be sold for upwards of 15 million. |

Samuels Smith was probably one of the better backups to Tymon we found have got in my view. Who can we get here who is happy playing 2% of minutes other than a young prospect? As others have said, we have done well recently which proves that the data approach works so it’s a great move for the club to keep that continuity. The fact we signed Yalcouye and so did Brighton suggests there may be some continuity in the way players are found. I was concerned when Worth left but considering this move by the club, I’m not concerned anymore. Brighton have had their fair share of misses mind. That is normal. |

Where as with you, it’s the opposite? |

Can you show us your post when it was a Muslim person attacking white people? Just so you can show us that you comment regardless? Otherwise you are just highlighting your own hypocrisy. |

Will the new man be all that involved in recruitment? in the sense that he will be the sole man leading it? I have a feeling maybe not, so potentially doesn’t really matter that he doesn’t start right away. I don’t see a lot of recruitment background in his history. Coleman said he would have a similar role to Montague, and when Montague spoke about how the recruitment process worked he said his role was being the one to sell the club to the player along with the manager. I hope this appointment is not a way for Gorringe to continue playing Football Manager with the club. Maybe I am just naturally skeptical. Was signed under the Sheehan system. Not a lot of possession at the back and focus on set pieces, I can’t imagine he will work too well with Matos. |

Apparently so, but it says undisclosed fee so we won’t know how much. A few hundred thousand is being touted online which may just be people guessing. He’s a good L1 CB so don’t see why we couldn’t command a fee, it wasn’t long ago he was attracting interest from big clubs in Italy. |

He would have been on pittance, just a cover defender we would likely never need. Selling for a fee is a really nice play. |

I wish they asked him why he left although doubt he would be allowed to reveal that. Seemed a strange situation to me given the strides we were making. Suggestions on the other site that he’s at another club which would explain it, but if he’s not then it’s an odd situation which hasn’t really been explained. The squad is in very good shape for my money. |

“Another delicate balance, but it’s important that a manager feels he has a real say in how the team is constructed, and I’m in total support of that. He’s the one who has to make the team work each week. In January, for example, we signed three players. Two were manager requests and the third was a recommendation from the recruitment department, but the work and research will be done on every single player to support that decision. Each window will vary. The summer was extremely weighted toward recruitment recommendations in contrast with one or two from the manager, but there’s no magic number to aim for. The key is that everyone stays strategically aligned and comfortable with the tools available to reach the collective goal.” Sounds like Matos picked two of the January signings. Ward and Nunes I assume considering we were linked with Leo Walta before he arrived. |

Out of interest Keith, do you know if the post on here is accurate about the goings on? I’m sure you will know more than most when it comes to that. Seems plausible given the staff turnover at Rovers and now with us. |
 | Forum Reply | Swansea City retained list this week at 18:56 15 May 2026
Our fans are bananas. Worth has been a major reason we find ourselves where we are yet we have fans making up stories that he’s posting on here based on nothing? I’d be careful with accusations like that, Keith has worked hard to give this site the good reputation it has. |

When I see reports of the club being filled with ex Rovers people and his friends, it does stink a bit. We were on such a crest of a wave, it did come across as a senseless decision to walk away but I guess this makes sense if this was happening behind the scenes. |
