The Festival ended last night with a fabulous performance from the Pee Wee Ellis Funk Assembly, and so brought to a close a wonderful weekend of music. It was a shame that the weather didn’t hold for whole weekend, but I think everyone who attended enjoyed the experience. Again I would personally like to thank Dave Cottle for his latest contribution to ensuring that live music is available to as many people in Swansea as possible. Also thanks to the whole team of helpers for their non stop energy and assistance. It may not have been as big as a Muse concert 😉 but it was a successful event organised and run by one man ( mainly ) , with entertainment in mind, not money. Thanks to all who attended, I saw quite a few Swans shirts around, as well as seeing people, that I know, who are Swans fans and Season Ticket holders. Keep music live. 🙂
Hope all goes well for the next few days , especially to Dave for all the hard work he’s put into this for months on end. I’m sure it will all come good and Swansea will show their support for an International Jazz Festival bringing Swansea into the limelight for music for the second time in just a few weeks. There are tickets still available for some of the events and of course there are many free gigs all around the Maritime Quarter. Please come and support this wonderful weekend of music of various genres, you will find something that you’ll enjoy and it might even be JAZZ ! Niiice 😁

Please take a few moments to read up on some information about how Autism affects so many people and their families. There are a lot of people out there ,often described as “odd” or “different “ that have difficulties you may have never even imagined . Some with Autism are living alongside you and you would never know it, while others struggle with various effects of it every single day. It may not be as much fun as reading about what eggs you have for breakfast, or people with two usernames or calling other posters names that you might regret the next day, but a little knowledge and information might ,one day, make you think that “odd “person might be not so odd but unfortunate to be affected by Autism. So if you can, read about or listen to, something this week that might help you to understand a little more and maybe we can all be a little more patient with that shy person and give them more confidence. Sorry for the long post, but very close to home.
