Real lack of quality in final 3rd cost us, they had a bit of quality for their first goal, that was the real difference at the end of the day. Frustrating match - low on quality but we got what we deserved. |

Still there for us, just need a goal back soon, and some quality in the final third. I'd hook Dembele soon if end productu doesn't imrpove, and Smyth has been quiet. Does feel like we should change something. |

100% not his fault, RND is beaten too easily and we lose their player. We can't blame Nardi for every goal conceded from a cross etc. |

Low quality first half, good effort though. I tihnk if we just show a bit more composure in the final 3rd the game is there for us. Feels like Smyth is trying a bit too hard the few times he has got the ball, but defensively doing a great job. Dembele good movement and runs but no end product at all, and less good defensively. Burrell and Kone linking well. Apply ourselves 2nd half and we should be good, so we will likely concede 1 minute after KO! |
 | Forum Reply | Two home games against the bottom two - Six points ??? at 20:28 31 Dec 2025
I voted 5 points over the 4 games, which would mean a draw and a win in these two. Games never pan out the way you think - if we get 6 points from both I'll be delighted of course. Should we aim for 6 - yes, should we expect it? I'm not putting any money on it. |

Good news - I've said before he add some crucial goals but also you can see how positive he is towards his team-mates and his workrate on the pitch is superb - definitely the right sort as they say! |

Ian Evatt, admitedly quite a while ago, also not really appreciated, ended up playing for Blackpool in the PRemier League. Now managing Blackpool - do we have many other explayers as managers? |

I think out of the options I prefer this - but a big ask for thr the two CBs, with a very raw leftback next to them as well. I guess we have been training with this in mind, so hopefully they are relatively ready whatever the formation. |

Sometimes you see the lineup and wonder what is happening, and post game you think what a tactical genius the manager is - let's hope it's one of those games. That's a lot of changes at the back for sure, be interesting to see what the actual formation is, whether we stick to 4 at the back or have gone for 3/5 at the back. Good chance for Morrison to play. Strong looking bench. |

I think what you can say about Smyth is he contributes some impotant goals (not loads, but important ones), and he seems to really add to the team spirit which is not to be underestimated (see Leivester...). I'd definitely like us to keep him to the ebnd of the season. That and he has pace which is important now to how we play, counter and press. |

He was more than booed if I remmber, there was a loud rendition of him being something that thymes with tanker. Cue the hatrick. After scoring the hatrick, he was subbed off, and I think was then applauded as he went off. As for Marti I wouldn't boo him. |

Some talk on his thread about a keeper, but can't see it happening. Nardi, Walsh and Hamer (assuming we keep him until the end of the season) will fight it out for the No1 spot. Next season I think Murphy Cooper will return and possibly be No1, fighting it out with Walsh possibly, assuming we release Hamer and Nardi. Salamon will then go out on loan like Murphy Cooper has and then hopefully is ready for first team in a season or two. |

True, but Clive's right shoulder might not be so keen |

Absolutely this. We seem to be going about things the right way, buying with an eye for development and future sales, and incrementally making the squad better each year. We can't go and spend a shedload, not get promoted, and then be back to trawling the bottom of the barrel for free transfers etc. Patience is key, despite temptation! |

HI Brian, I did ane Annapurna circuit way back in 2001, 17 days walking (mostly up, 3 days down and 1 rest day for acclimatisation at 3,600m or so). Unbelievable experience, when I did it basically no coms or smart phones also so you felt really cut off. I didn't do the Everest base camp which I understand is more up and down over Valleys, whilst Annapurna is more of a gradual climb up most of the way. There were basically no heated showers when I went, so the good news is there was never a queue for the shower as the water was just above freezing! Also some amazing white water rafting, you can do 3 or 5 day ones camping on the side of the river at night - again amazing, and there was aparticularly vicious one day one! Lovely people, great food, momos to die for. My list I've also wanted to see Petra in Jordan, and go to Lebanon. One of my best firends is lebanese but I'd love to go for a week there. It's a shame it's so messy there now.and South America for a year when I retire or win the lottery. [Post edited 5 Dec 2025 9:56]

I thought it was a joke when I first saw that, maybe Ronaldo can hand it over to him, though Infantino will probaly shove everyone out of the way to be closer to his new best friend. Can't wait for the speech. |

I must admit he has surprised me. I thought he'd be great at the press and giving us a different option up front with pace, but more of a supporting act to Kone. Really pleased for him, works so hard, and brilliant he is getting these important goals. |
