Walsh played a blinder tonight. Up front Kone did his best, but I can`t really understand why Smyth is being played on the left. Over to JS regarding that one... Note to self: A point away is ok.
I agree with the poster above; I think it`s the intensity of the play in England that highlights his weaknesses. It`s so frustrating because when he gets (enough) time on the ball, his passing epsecially is top notch imo.
Our pressing from the front was also much improved today. Dembele, Kone and Saito were all well drilled and at it. Long may that aspect of our game continue because it`s (obviously) key to the way we want to play.
I decided to take up french when we appointed JS and after having watched The Count Of Monte Christo . It certainly is a beatyful language. just a pity that it`s so expensive to go there on holiday...
Cook not seeing that he is way over the hill doesn`t make it easier for the manager and team. I think he should have left or retired last year and Dunne filled in at CB for him. JCS is still not ready sadly...
It may be that he showed a negative mindset by chosing two def. midfielders from the off, but Oxford beat Bristol City a few weeks ago and you`ll never know what to expect from a Rowett led team.
At the moment I think he adds something different to the team. He is quite tricky and can certainly pick a pass when allowed time and space. He got at least one (nearly) assist today. I think he oculd have scored from a free kick in the first half also. ...
