Swansea City match report : There was a gulf in class but the Swans have hope
at 08:35:01

Thank You for the report Liam, its not easy to sum up without the luxury of the replays. First goal seemed to stem from Woods being drawn out of the back line as Fulton struggled to get back to defend the ball carrier. The pass was then played into the space where Woods should have been. Then Darling and Humphries were dragged across but Tymon recovered to track Adams so at that point Swans had numbers. Then Darling got beat too easily at by the shooter then Adams read the rebound better. I wouldn't be pointing the finger at Humphries. Second issue is that the days of Tub thumping captains are long gone. It might work in the sunday league but what i saw was the back line making poor decisions and the team as a whole not pressing together in the first half. I do agree with your comment on the lack of pace and agree with your overall assessment that Swans were outplayed first half and came back into it second. Try and keep to reporting and leave the commentary to aan opinion piece. keep it up.

Why Russell Martin didn’t leave Swansea City in February
at 05:31:51

Swansea have gone from 3/4s of a good team to 2/3 of a good team. At the start of the year they needed two genuine wing backs. Now they need minimum those wingbacks, a keeper and a striker. Keep in mind of the 24 managers in the championship 21 will fail each season. So clearly the odds are against from the start. Having a weaker team after january when the team was already incomplete could prove too far for anyone.

Russell Martin : ‘ I really like our mentality’ But Russ this is relegation form !
at 08:01:09

The next month could be the making of Russell Martin. Despite what the fickle minded are saying he has taken the swans to the top six earlier this year and completed some handsome derby wins of late. Direct your Ire at the appalling lack of support from the club owners in the summer and January.
The team has been put together on a relative shoe string and has been short of 5 players since Cyrus and Wolf were lost and not replaced, Obafemi and Patterson went on a big sulk and Flynn Downes was not adequately replaced. Joe Allen is one of my favourite players but has been struggling with injuries before he came back to Swansea.
The run of results is not to be unexpected and changing the manager at this stage will do no one any good.
Sack him and in 2 years time when swans are in League 2 you can say we should never have sacked him when you see him do well at a well financed club which supports the manager.
Yes he needs to do better and yes the team needs to start bleeding white and yes we need a change of tactics to turn the boat around short term. But if the owners keep bleeding the club dry nothing will change so stop booing and get behind the team.

I’ve really seen enough of Russell Martin’s Swansea City vision for the future

Congratulations Liam on taking the plunge on writing an opinion piece. However, opinions are like......yes you know the rest and whilst you have made some valid points as a paying fan I suggest you practice writing without slaughtering individuals as you have.

Georgina Marcella : An apology
at 19:31:33

In a post fact world it is heartening to see such a fulsome, commendable apology Kieth. However, with such honorable instincts do not bother applying for a job at the Daily Mail or Murdoch papers.

Joel Piroe being watched by a top Premier League club
at 20:46:11

At the very least, Swansea City would need to be in touch with the play off spots to be able to hang on to any player being offered EPL wages. 16th spot is not going to be a strong reason to stay. The outcome of this season will be affected by what happens in the next month; the number of points gained and transfer activity.
