Priorities for next season
at 16:58 16 Mar 2024

At least one proper number 9.
New contract for Patterson, Wood, Cullen and Placheta (unless we are going with just Ginnelly and Ronald as wide players).
Cover for Key if Naughton retires.
A quality midfielder. Two if Allen retires.
Cut down on loans and develop our own

2-0 up at Millwall if the result stays the same that's our match there in a couple of weeks postponed, irrespective of our result later.

Credit where its due. Well done Swansea City
at 19:30 7 Dec 2023

Supporters looking to cheer on Swansea City in our Boxing Day fixture at Southampton will be able to take advantage of heavily discounted coach travel, courtesy of partners HGV Drivers UK and the club.

The club and HGV Drivers UK have been keen to thank the Jack Army for their tremendous support, recognising the considerable costs incurred and distances travelled by so many of you who have followed the Swans home and away; not just this season but over a number of years.

Boxing Day fixtures are a much-loved part of the festive sporting calendar, and we are delighted to be able to help the travelling Jacks attend the game and cheer on our team at St Mary’s by covering the majority of the cost of return coach travel.

Return travel packages for the game will be priced at £38, but contributions from HGV Drivers UK and the club mean supporters will pay just £15 for the trip to the south-coast.

Tickets for the game will go on sale at 10am on Friday, December 8, when further information on pricing, sale windows, how to claim discounted coach travel and matchday travel details will be confirmed.

“Since becoming a club partner this season we’ve been impressed with the passion and commitment of the travelling Jacks who travel hundreds of miles supporting their team,” said Wesley Seare, managing director of HGV Drivers UK, the premier logistics recruitment agency for driver, transport manager, supervisor, clerk and planner jobs across the UK.

“We’re proud to support a community-focused club and are pleased that we could play our part in making the fixture on Boxing Day affordable and accessible for those that would like to attend.”

Richard Morris, head of commercial at Swansea City, added: “We’re grateful to Wes and the team at HGV Drivers UK for joining the club in this fantastic gesture to our magnificent supporters, and we hope a large number of the Jack Army will make the trip to Southampton on Boxing Day.

“Partnerships with a true sense of purpose, collaboration and community spirit are vital for our club, and we greatly appreciate the manner in which HGV Drivers UK have embraced working with us and the support they have provided.”

The Swansea City Supporters’ Trust, the club and its partners had been in ongoing conversations regarding the provision of discounted travel for away supporters at selected fixtures – while the topic has also been raised at this season’s fans’ forum and structured dialogue meeting - and all parties are very pleased to be able to have this arrangement in place for an eagerly-anticipated game.

EDIT
And well done HGV Drivers UK.
