Former Premier League ref Mike Dean has admitted to some 'antics' on matchday :
"There used to be games where we'd have a laugh. We used to say, 'We'll kick off now, right and we'd see how long we could go without blowing the whistle'. I've done that a few times in the Premier League before VAR.
We went 20-25 minutes without blowing the whistle!
I used to do another thing in the Premier League. I used to stand in the centre circle and see how long I could stay in the centre circle before I had to leave.
That was just me joking about. Got about 15 minutes once in one game without leaving the centre circle."

The Mrs loves Alison Moyet - about 6 years ago I was looking for tickets as a birthday present. Found a gig in the Cotswolds and bought tickets, didn't do any research into the venue, other than location. Turned out it was nothing more than a village hall and the gig was a local fundraiser - the smaii stage was about 2ft high. Ms Moyet was backed by an accoustic guitarist and.did about an hour of her hits superbly. The Mrs stood at the front almost face to face with her - a priceless experience
A couple of years later Alison was supporting Tears for Fears in Liverpool and we got tickets again - she, as usual, was great, but Tears for Fears were absolutely brilliant, something I hadn't expected..
As a total contrast, went to a gig in Cardiff, 2008 ish, Joan Jet, Motorhead & Alice Cooper (one of my favourites growing up) he didn't dissapoint, superb, rock theatre [Post edited 25 Jul 8:50]

With respect, we're lookig a houses up to about £210k - everything is block booked for viewings, and everytihing goes to 'the, joke, 'best and final offer' - something you can't increase
We're in P.Talbot, looking within 3-5 miles, be happy to look at your property - let's cut the middle man out lol

It's jut soo frustrating, you find the perfect house and you don't know what you're offering against - they're making a mint (sellers too) because you end up offering more than you need to
Is there a 'law/regulation' why they can't tell you what the best offer is? |

Anyone having the dubios pleasure of dealing with Estate Agents to purchase a property?
It's a nonsense - e.g. a house up for £210k, you offer the asking price, turns out a number other' people have done the same. So, it go to 'Best and Final Offer'
How this proceeds is a farce - you submit an offer and that's it - it's a blind auction. You could lose a house for a fiver, because they won't tell you what the best offer is,
If you offer (in this example £225k) and the 2nd best offer was £218k, you pay £225,
they're taking the P - it's certainly not a buyers market!! [Post edited 9 Jul 21:30]

Don't know where they get it from but, Stella, Peroni etc on draught aren't the same abroad as they are in the UK. Tecnd to stick to bottles, unless it's local and upper end (Alhambra, Dorado Especial etc) [Post edited 9 Jul 19:49]

Holiday regularly in the Canaries, as mentioned earlier in this thread, Alhambra is a nice drink, Dorado Especial 5.5%(not the regular stuuff, which isn't nice) is really good. I like Mythos, but be prepered to be frowned upon if you ask for it in Greece (they aren't fans over there)
Tesco and Morrisons doing 4 x large bottles of 'foreign' lagers for £8
It's becoming a good idea for booze runs to England after the Gov minimum charge 50p per unit of alcohol - 18 cans of Stella £19.20 in Morrisons here - £13 Tescos Cribbs Causeway - fill a van!!! |

Without him and despite a difficult looking run in (April/May) we only lost 1 game in 7 (Southampton)
