Brook dropping Samson. He might have a case to answer in the follow up enquiry. |

The late drama being discussed in the York/Hartlepools game made think I should refer fellow cricket followers to the T20 game between South Africa and Afghanistan. From Afghanistan's 18th over in the chase, both teams "won and lost" the match several times over. Worth watching if you have n't seen it already. |

I now feel old...I recall several PE teachers that shouted and used hurty words. |

I attended our local Parade. Horses, Pipe band, around 500 marchers, and an estimated 1000 spectating. Completed with a fly past of a couple of Spitfires and a Typhoon. Pretty good effort for a town of similar size to Milnrow. Excellent sunny weather as well. https://www.facebook.com/photo |

An awesome watch for me. In my opinion, better than most of the rubbish offered by Sky these days. I have lived overseas for 20 years now, and there had been noticeable changes on my last visit, but what that documentary showed was the changes since my last visit in 2019. Unless I am blind to chicken shops? Miss "proper" live football. Also, now miss fish and chips from Wilbutts Lane. |

Good mate of Steve Melledew, often joining him at my grans house (Ethel nee Melledew) for pre match meal of potato pie, pastry crust and all. Nutritionists take note, I do not recall it affecting their performances. RIP |

Aye, Antartica...excellent, all day sun at the moment so the frost should thaw, and pretty close to me as well! |

It is a beautiful sunny day again, so NZ will not be saved by the weather. With an ageing Southee, no Boult, and a pitch that is unlikely to take spin, it looks like a win for the home captain! |

Copied from an Oldham social media page. I thought he was joking, but then he bollocked me for laughing. "And I still can't figure out how West Bromwich Albion's ground in the Midlands is higher above sea level than Oldham Athletic's ground further north? Surely the more north you go the higher above sea level you are? it just doesn't make geographical sense." |

Wit? Nah, not my wit, as I just adapted a quote from an ex PM of NZ, Muldoon. Used to have a business in Oldham. We did some work for OAFC, and never got fully paid, so any chance to wind them up suits me. |
