He was also a fine cricketer playing for Burnley in the Lancashire League. He was also a regular at St Helens watching Glamorgan. |

I think the reason is because EUFA keep threatening the international status of Wales and insist only competition winners and runners up can enter their competitions. They have also decreed Welsh clubs playing in the English pyramid will represent England if they win an English qualifying competition. Like we did when we won the League Cup. |
| Forum Reply | Another 3 million invested at 15:41 19 Apr 2024
Makes a nonsense out of those who still claim the owners are taking money out of the club. That is £25 million invested into the club over the last three years. Our gate revenue does not even come close to covering our wage bill let alone all the other expenses involved in running a club. |
| Forum Reply | Welsh Cup Final at 12:11 19 Apr 2024
Pity the FAW don't allow their top 6 clubs to enter the Welsh Cup. It would be a money spinner for some of the LOW clubs to play decent opposition for a change. |
| Forum Reply | Sturgeon arrested at 08:29 19 Apr 2024
Looks like things are falling apart for the SNP. After Sturgeon resigned after her disastrous gender recognition Bill fail to get UK approval. Their latest leader seems very unpopular. Their recent U-turn on their zero carbon policies has upset their Green coalition partners. At the beginning of April support for independence fell to 47% after reaching 49% in 2022. The Scottish health and education sectors continue to get worse. Live expectancy in Scotland continues to fall. Deaths caused by alcohol are 54% higher than rest of the UK. Deaths caused by drug abuse are 3 tines higher in Scotland than the rest of the UK Now the SNP's former chief executive, aka Mr Sturgeon has been charged with embezzlement of funds from the SNP. |
| Forum Reply | The 20MPH punishments at 08:34 15 Apr 2024
Unfortunately they never produced decent in depth statistics in the year before 20 mph was introduced so they have nothing to compare it with. What they needed was as in depth analysis of deaths and injuries in 30 mph to include Deaths and injuries caused by Drug and drink driving Dangerous driving Excessive speeding over and above 30 mph Deaths and injuries involving banned drivers, uninsured drivers, non licence holders and under age drivers. Pedestrians and cyclist casualties Motor bike casualties Casualties in accidents where drivers were driving under legal speed limit. Unless they have this information no one will have any idea if the 20 mph limit has any impact at all. Things we know for sure More pollution caused by driving in lower inefficient gears Longer journey times More congestion A less efficient Welsh economy. |
| Forum Reply | The 20MPH punishments at 12:23 12 Apr 2024
Hardly irrelevant. Unless you identify the case of the accident you can't implement measures to reduce the cause of accidents. |
| Forum Reply | The 20MPH punishments at 17:16 11 Apr 2024
Often sheer negligence of pedestrians who step into roads with out looking, on their mobiles and ear buds in playing music so they can't hear traffic. What do we charge them with? |

Unfortunately while we were part of the EU we could not stop people from the rest of the EU moving here. You can hardly weed out illegals as they had a legal right to move to any EU country. Clearly the UK was a paradise, with generous benefits wages etc, for those coming from former impoverished Soviet block countries. |
| Forum Reply | Would it be better if Swansea got relegated.? at 18:34 8 Apr 2024
Be careful what you wish for. Ipswich ran up debts of nearly £120 million in their fall to League one. The previous owner agreed to write off £91 million of debts when he sold the club to new owners in 2022. |

Sheer luck this week. I picked Haarland as Captain Manchester City did not play him so my Vice Captain got the double points, Fodden 40 points . Who do I make Captain next Saturday? 🤔 |
| Forum Thread | Senedd petition new one to sign. at 20:51 4 Apr 2024
Another worthwhile petition to sign. " improve vital late night public transport infrastructure in South and South West Wales" The last train from Swansea heading East leaves around 22:30 pm which means people visiting entertainment venues cannot catch a train home unless the leave the venue early. Towards Carmarthen a train leaves Swansea at 22:25 with a later one at 00:08 The Welsh government, who run and own TfW should ensure they run later trains from Swansea, as of course they do from Cardiff. |

Especially as it was only made a city in 1905. Not sure who decided it was to be the Capital of Wales in 1955. Probably some Welsh office committee in Cardiff. Certainly not the people of Wales. |

Hope the egg chasers did not do too much on Saturday. At least they won. The only Welsh Region in the top half of the table. |
