|My Thoughts on the Segregation last Night|
at 11:52 25 Oct 2017
As I stated just after the draw was made Man Utd fans should have been allocated the whole of the North stand for last night’s match (Approximately 3,400-3,700 seats, 15%).
The normal 2,100 seats in middle of the North could have been allocated to their hardcore fans in their ballots. The North West (750) and North East (750) Corners could have then been sold to any United fans be it their normal fans, ‘local’ fans or plastic fans or even Neutrals? Therefore, keeping most of the Man U contingent contained to one side of the ground. With the need for perhaps minimal segregation with the West Corner and a larger matted segregation area with the East.
Zero tolerance could have then operated in the other 3 stands, as what I have perceived to be the usual stance on any away fans that do not sit on their hands in the home end.
|Manchester United will be allocated Roughly 3,300 North Stand Tickets|

The rule in both the League and FA Cup is the away side are allocated 15%... unless there is safety factors or police advice... Therefore the normal 2,100 will become roughly 3,400, depending on how many seats get covered in matting in both the North West and North East Corners. This means they will get all four sections of the North Stand.
Season ticket holders in the North will be most probably told to wait until all the South, East and West Stand season ticket holders have claimed their seats and then they will get to choose their seats from the 2,000 seats that have to allocated to Non-Season Ticket Holders for league matches or the scattered seats that are not taken up by season ticket holders.
