I've had a bit of a soft apot for Coventry in as much as I know parts of that area, but also had sympathy for them when they were bought by SISU and tought how we dodged that bullet
But after that Lampard performance, as well as their fans, at SMS this season ll respect went out of the window and I'd now love them to not get that promotion |

One thing I remember aout their "Riverside" stadium is that you'd think it was jst picked up pre-built by a giant helicoptor with the rremit to find and bit of sparse land near the town and just drop it anywhere you like on it! It has to be the shitttiest ground location going |

In the Championship, other than the obvious blue few
For me it's Wrexham and I'd love it if they didn't get to the play offs to bring them down a peg ot two
For me they are the Man City / Newcastle of the lower leagues where all of a sudden they get this massive dosh input and media love in with the Hollywood owners who have pumped their money in.
Not sure if it's jealousy or envy (?), but probably it's their fans who believe they should therefore get that promotion by right
And to pi55 on my own chips they have brought in a decent young manager and clearly recruited well, but just don't like them! |

In the Villa/Newcastle game, shocking decision for that handball that should have been a pen clear as day
Ok, the Geordies got the goal, but the guy was clearly inside the box, and the Villa goal was def offside that the lino should have picked up
Just shows how much the officials rely on VAR now |

I suspect Leicester will (quietly) not worry about a defeat as they def now need to concentrate on league, however with the splinters on my ar5e, their fans will probably go ape if a reserve team is put out and no effort especially after the midweek result |

Awful idea. So someone who finishes 8th could go up before someone who finishes 3rd. It's bad enough as it is despite the excitement it causes. It's the principle for me that just because you may have had a bum run towards the end of the season you sh1t out, whereas a just about scrape in to 8th and you make it |

In effect, Everton are the Man City of Liverpool?
Didn't City boycott the CL a few years ago for some reaso and every time the anthem was played booed all the way through it and protested in some other way for some reason?
Or was that something to do with the investigations in to their spending etc and could be why the infamous 115 breaches still hasn't been brought to a conclusion? |

Man City have always proclaimed to be the "Manchester" club as their glory years have only really been over the last 10 - 15 years with the success being "bought" hence only local support over the long term although there was also some success in the 60's. I also think that since the Arabs came in and bought the trophies for them has actually put a lot of tourists off of them as itnwere
United and Liverpool have let's face it nearly always been at the top of the tree (although I can remember them both in the 2nd division (Utd when when we were there in the 70's for one season)
We were in the States a feew years ago and ended up chatting to a local who's first question was (knowing we were English) whether we liked soccer - soon put him right on that - and told him our allegience and his was Liverpool. Never been there, no link, just the name and the Beatles! |
