I certainly missed this, but AFCON is in January/February. More games missed for chair and Seny just after they’ve been away at the WC. Let’s hope they play a squad that wasn’t at the WC but I doubt it.
Hello everyone. I know LFW has had a lot of charity requests recently and I’ve tried to hold off till as late as possible. I’d be grateful if you would read my story and if you want to, donate.
In August 2020 I had a seizure, it was pretty bad and I was bluelighted to hospital, my partner thought I was dying as I was going a funny shade of blue! Thankfully I was ok in the end. it was my second one within 5 years though so got diagnosed with epilepsy. No driving. Tablets for life. No more mad booze benders. Rubbish. I thought my life would be rubbish to be honest and was down for a long time. I had help from the Epilepsy Society and began to think more positively.
I’ve been a runner/plodder for a few years and wanted to test myself post diagnosis so I planned to do the Cleveland Way, Yorkshire Wolds Way and the last leg of the Trans Pennine Trail. It’s a 100% self funded 215 mile run/plod which I’ll complete in 10 days all in aid of Epilepsy Society. Training was going well until 5 weeks ago. Disaster. I had another seizure. I am however absolutely determined to get through this run even if I have to crawl! Anyway, thanks for reading if you have got this far and my link is below:
I see our game has been moved to Heston today. Is this the first time we will have had a game @ Heston? Hopefully a sign of things to come and we can have more of these games there instead of Harlington.
My ex Hooj bro was telling me about a new release, memories of the future. Orchestral versions of some of the greats. You might already be familiar with it but it’s there if you want to check it out. It includes Solarstone Seven Cities. Sampler of it on YouTube but not sure how to link. I’ll try it!
If you are a sad case like me, all the African qualifiers are on Fifa TV and the Asian ones are on onefootball.com. Handy for those of you that like some background noise while working from home!
Following on from the other beer thread…. I was diagnosed with epilepsy last summer and can’t really drink a lot nowadays, I’m familiar with all the 0.0 & 0.5% beers but would like to find a nice 1-2% beer for euros. I’ve found small beer and one at a ramsgate brewery but struggling to find any others. Any suggestions? I like all types, lager, craft, ale etc!
Apologies if posted already but every midweek QPR game will be on sky via the red button. This is pretty good for those that cant travel midweek. Details on the 'how to follow the efl' segment on the sky sport website. Also means there will likely be streams for those that look out for such things!
In other non related news, I play really old games and was playing Modern Warfare 3 the other day (2011) and QPR v Wolves was on telly in a baddies house. True story.
LFW is a great place for advice and getting some inside knowledge so hear goes....
In March next year I'm going to run/walk the trans Pennine trail. 215 miles over 10 days, starting in Southport and finishing in Hornsea. I'm doing it for charity, which I'll bother you all with at a later date!
Has anyone done anything similar? Any advice you can give me?
I've started training already building up my mileage over the next few months. Up to 3.5 at the min and going to do a 10k next week.
Morning friends! I have an issue and I'm hoping you can help as you lot are devious! Mrs Gunn, toddler Gunn and I are looking to move house, partly because our neighbours are absolute thundercunz. We cant put a formal complaint in to the council as we then have to legally tell prospective buyers. What I want to do then is to legally annoy the hell out of them so I'm looking for useful hints & tips, the fella sells loads of stuff on bookface so I have both his telephone numbers.....
I woke up with a hangover from hell this morning so I watched Bobbys goal about 5 times in a row. Got me thinking, I must have watched it about 347.5 times. How many times have you watched it?!
I'm going tomorrow night to watch local Leeds fighter Josh Warrington, has anyone been before? I have no idea what to expect really. There are about 5/6 decent fights on the card and it's not bad value for £35...think the pints will be pusing 4/5 quid a go mind....
Updated 18/04 Yes, we need another four points to mathamatically be safe but I think we all agree that we will be in it to win it......so who can we face?
Because i'm a geek i've set up an excel spreadsheet of all the teams, maximum points and potential finishing positions. To explain, the first column is the maximum points needed to get that position, 2nd how many more points we need to get to achieve that position and how many Points Per Game we need to get for the position. Simple! I have included Leeds as I have a bet on with my mate for a curry! I am of course aware that you only get 3 points for a win, but kept 1st & 2nd on there in the hope that the PPG will reduce over time.....5 more wins to not come bottom, 6 more wins and we are safe, 12 more wins for a curry, 13 more wins to get the playoffs.
Points To go PPG Champions 115 60 3.75 2nd 105 50 3.125 6th 94 39 2.4375 Leeds 90 35 2.333333333 22nd 73 18 1.2 24th 70 15 0.9375
Apologies for my geekiness
The figures looked squashed compared to the preview but hopefully you get the idea.
For all the people moaning about the current set of players that are challenging for honours........2 years ago today a man walked into Loftus Road.....he bought a lot of quality into the building......he promised we would never be in a relegation dog fight again......
I would much rather be where we are today than where we were 2 years ago....
Playing each other this weekend in the legue play off semi final. Being played at Leeds Utd's training ground (Thorp Arch) this Saturday @ 11. Has anyone been to an U18 match before? I live within walking distance so can i just rock up and watch? No mention of admission prices on either official websites, or Barnsleys.
