Daylight fading, or speculate to accumulate? – 24/25 Accounts
at 06:20 20 Feb 2026

I do think Nourry should have done his Q & A after this accounts release and answered the questions that Simon has kindly interpreted for us all.

Even, if he would have put a bit of gloss on it, think its poor he set the date for answering fans questions, a few days before the release of the annual accounts.

Its almost like he did not want to talk about this.....

Not the best look.....

Brilliant. Well done Dave.

I have seen a few clips and will watch the full show over the weekend.Glad it all went well and was well attended.

One of my earliest memories as an eight year old was crying my eyes out listening to radio two commentary on the last Liverpool game.

My dad consoled me that they would do it next year. F**k. That didn't exactly come to pass !!!

I guess its a worry.

Have read the accounts analysis and this spread of costs over years seems to delay money concerns. However, with the increase in contract lengths of players is always a risk, especially as obviously a few signings won't live up to the hype/hope.

For me, one of the traits of Nourry, I would least worry about is the money and numbers side of the game, but yes we need at least two of our signings to be sold for decent profits every other season, at best.

Sometimes with accounts, the overall message could be distorted by slightly devious but legal disguising of costs and expenses, which this amortisation of assets seems to do.

But, have to say, although I have not been particularly critical of Christian Nourry with his guarded announcements, the fact these accounts are released just after he has answered random selected questions with his form of fans forum, tbh the timing suggests he does not want to answer any queries about the accounts and that's a cowardly approach and if you read between the lines - why does he not want to answer questions on the accounts - maybe its because he wants to hide away from possible issues that he may well know, others could see through.

If the club could explain to the fan base about our profit and loss statement and also our balance sheets, because PEOPLE CAN SEE THAT THE Q&A WAS COMPLETED JUST PRIOR TO THIS RELEASE & THAT DOESN'T SEEM RIGHT.

Be good if they could present the accounts to our fan base and explain what the figures mean for our short and long term futures. If the club are saying they are being transparent then we do need to all be aware, where we are at.

We could all maybe do a sponsored silence at the next home game to raise a few shillings then if necessary !!!

The old joke -

"I have been to Hull and back"

Probably how Andrew Mountbatten Windsor feels today !!!

Three game weeks seem to have been our own particular nadir this season !!!

Ok

As said, we need to do better than the ten to fifteen clubs around us to get sixth place. We have dreadful injury issues and basically yes we need to go on a brilliant run with a depleted squad and only two wins in the last ten and most of our games left are much more challenging in terms of team positions.

Next five games

Away at Hull
Away at Southampton
Home to Sheffield United
Home to Middlesboro
Away to Birmingham.

Realistically need minimum ten points to remain in contention after these five games.

Hope you are right.

Wot! No Randy Andy Pandy thread yet
at 17:14 19 Feb 2026

Not the greatest thread title if its proven he had sex with under age trafficked young girls, if thats potentially in the charge or not. Not much has been released about that, as yet.

i could have started all number of Trump threads on here, but i thought the idea on this site was to not start any potentially libellous or politically dangerous thread titles on here, as a few people going down rabbit holes is dangerous on an online forum these days.

And we do chat about some things not sports related, occasionally.

This one though is a MASSIVE can of WORMS....

Not sure what Clive is able to deal with on here, though.

But welcome Orker. An intetesting first thread to announce yourself to the loftforwords fraternity.....

Yes re the thread.

Was meaning nothing left to play for this season as in - no chance of play offs with our injury situation as it is and also thankfully zero chance of relegation.

Nowt to do with positivity or negativity - just stating whats left to play for this season is only in terms of end position.

Am afraid there are many that are extremely negative on here.

But will continue to enjoy attending this season, sir. Love going even on the bad days. Its an event like no other for me

Its actually quite enjoyable, when we win the odd game and perform well and as a hobby, its actually great when we can enjoy the good times.

Yes we have a few bad games, but minimising the good times and going into all out rants of doom and despair, when we lose occasionally, crikey what a life to lead.

Agree with Ned, some posters on here clearly get zero enjoyment out of being QPR fans. And nothing gives some posters greater love than when one of their multiple pessimistic predictions come true.

Live life and enjoy.

Or maybe not, as the case may be.....

He is not clinical enough at this level.

He may well get a wonder strike now and again, but most of the time, his control, nouse and movement is not good enough and absolutely his consistent form or lack of, is simply not there often enough.

We did well out of the deal.

Flatters to deceive....

Budget?
at 02:47 18 Feb 2026

Yes we have spent more recently and on top form our overall squad depth is decent.

However, the MAIN ISSUE is we have signed so many players with KNOWN INJURIES

If we can unearth decent prospects that dont get INJURED in PRE MATCH WARM UPS or in TRAINING SESSIONS, that would be progress...

The amount of injuries recently is ABSOLUTELY FRICKING NUTS !!

Poor performance.

One of those games as Rangers fans we are used to.

As long as that level of performance is not maintained in the next three and we up our game and in particular in defence, all is well.

A weakened squad where not one player performed. Bounce back Rangers please. Have avoided this messageboard the last few days, because the stench of negativity and anger in particular towards Nourry was out of context and not great to read, if you wanted to have a nice day.

Was a dreadful game. Lets not dwell there for too long, i hope !!

Remember him from years ago.

Like said, carried on from MLK. And still at a time, when blacks were dreadfully discriminated against.

And yes, when the standards in US politics are at an all time low, a reminder of how badly the United States has fallen in terms of calibre and statesman like people in or around the Oval office.

RIP Jesse and sadly also RIP A decent and upstanding United States of America.

Yes you are correct. Worst team ever.

Nourry is the devil incarnate but apparently no mention of this two games ago when we beat the then runaway league leaders.

Such a dull and pointless conversation.

You made your point. You dont want him here..

Nourry out..

However we dont lose for five games and nowt is said...

14 mainly long term injuries. And so many key players not available.

Its where the issues lie.

The anti Nourry brigade appear large after a bad defeat. Its quite tedious !!!!

Its beyond more than results this season. The whole ethos of the club.

Anyhow there are a lot of Nourry haters that see him as doing nothing right at all. i am just saying its a decent start and the proof will be in a couple of seasons time not now. And as said there are some negatives that need improvement.

But by the very fact at a time when we are stabilised and you are comparing ourselves to at our highest points in recent seasons, actually proves as a start point we are on course, especially when currently our injuries are ridiculous.

Any other period with such injury critical problems, we would be losing every game we play.

Even as a Nourry hater, surely you can see that our younger players can step in and be reasonable at this level, ie Hamaleinen, Dixon Bonner etc simply were way out of their depth and most of our squad is incredibly young now. The potential is there now.

Just saying but your post comes across as an angry rant and over exaggerating many issues.

The loss against Blackburn was poor but we beat the league leaders before with all intents and purposes would have beaten Wrexham also. And even if football poor away, last three have been draws and injuries have decimated the squad at this time.

Overall, we are doing better than previous, but your post comes across as angry venom towards Nourry. If his previous experience was zero, which has been debated ad infinitum and true to some extent, then for a man with zero experience, he is therefore doing extraordinarily well then.

He is the man in charge and the people that made the decision to employ him are not wet behind the ears dummies. People can blag their way into some jobs but at this level the people recruiting are experienced themselves. You can tell by how he talks he is no dummy.

Give the guy a chance. Most of what he has achieved so far is decent but you are clearly not of that view at all.

Nourry answers questions
at 14:15 16 Feb 2026

Personally I think we are slowly making progress and whatever people think about communication issues - which for me there are several -

1.The youth set up seems to be on a more even keel.

2.The overall strength in depth is much greater.

3.Some of the signings have great promise.

4.The manager seems an upgrade.

5.Some decent income from selling some players above their real value.

6.We are sometimes harder to beat.

7.We are better in terms that relegation is not something that is currently concerning us.

8.And whatever others think there does seem to be a joined up plan.

However ultimately there are failings such as ;

1. Too many injuries and injury prone players.

2. Guarded communications around injury setbacks.

3. Over protection of some players over others.

4. Guarded communications over contract lengths etc but think they long term, to amortised the cost over years, so that the books balance easier.

For some, there is a dislike of the man. Not having a pop at yourself Clive or others, but you say he is not a trustworthy person and in real life those that have met him, all would concur with this. I dont trust some of the smokescreens myself but for me , its one of the few things we have to moan about with this man as our CEO.

There is a plan, but it could go wrong, but it could go right. For me , there are more rights than wrongs and it is for the long term and let's all see where this goes. A few seasons down the line is where we will be able to judge this man as our CEO. Early days as yet.

And no, he would not be a mate of mine, but for me that's completely irrelevant, if the results come from the training ground from the match day results and the overall balance in the bank accounts, then all well and good.

Yes some questions may well have been filtered and I dont necessarily agree with that approach, but as said for me, the overall progress is upwards. For me, also we have seemed to sign some players with promise.

The "Paul Furlong" thing upsets a few. He wants his people in to the jobs he feels they definitely could do. Possibly the way Furlong did things did not fit in with his strategies. So although sad for a club legend leave, if the overall strategy keeps on improving, he is the boss and bosses have to make decisions for the way they feel the club as a whole moves forward.

Injuries and some elements of communication of club and playing issues aside, I am comfortable so far with what Nourry has achieved. Am not one to look at him with automatic distrust. Let's see where this goes, I say. I think some seeds have been planted. Let's hope the sowing and harvesting seasons likewise go well.

So clearly I do have a few reservations, but overall in most aspects of the club, I feel we are moving forwards and hope this momentum continues.

Christian Nourry, whatever people's views of him and his ways of working, no one can doubt the guy is a very hard working man and absolutely does want to succeed and for the club to flourish. He is not out to sabotage us.

Good luck to him and of course C'mon you Rrr's !!!
