Remember all the stuff about him being a One Season Wonder, loved winding a Tottenham mate up about that, hard to believe it was twelve years since he was battling out Prem top scorer with Charlie and how those years have panned out. Doesn’t really get the plaudits he deserves, doesn’t have the aura of some classic CF’s who’s scoring ratio was nothing like his, doesn’t give it the big one, like so many lesser CF’s. Probably the finest scorer we’ve had at both league and international standard, a decent man who goes happily under the radar and lets his football do the talking. |

Dry and sunny in Epsom. Sitting in the garden after a hernia operation, staring at my lawn that’s been wrecked this summer. It makes our pitch look like a bowling green, that’s how bad it is. Incidentally, is it normal for your dangly bits to go entirely black and blue and swell twice the size after said op? I suppose I should call Cobham Hospital but you lot tend to be well informed and it’ll save me having to engage with a chatbot for half an hour. |

Probably best to concentrate on your site rather than try to engage on other social media, you’ve got plenty of support from those on here, whether they always agree with you, or like some on here, myself included, who’ve called you out on certain stuff, not me so much these days for sure, but think this site exists for people who can entertain other peoples different views with relevant decorum. Watched Question Time the other night, first time in ages, won’t be doing that again. Not so much the political discourse, but there’s a generation now that seem like robots, part computerised and ripe for plucking in this AI age. I don’t think they are capable of doing conversation. Genuinely despair of it, truly worrying if I wasn’t so old already. As for the likes of X I have no words. Do your own thing and fck anyone else. |

Can’t help wondering if the regime at the time were a little too comfy working in Cat 2 and were worried they’d be at risk of getting found out in Cat 1. Noticeable that now that regime has been largely removed, we are looking at Cat1. |

Am I right in thinking, if a player gets injured on international duty, their club gets a payout to cover player costs? |

I’d play Old Jude as a hold up man up front, giving them a bit of west London lip and give the New Jude a run out in the flaky winger role. I could also see Kolli filling a juxtaposition, roaming between the two. What a sight to behold. Vogue, vogue, vogue. |

Don’t think any player ever played better after an ACL and he’s had two of them. He might benefit from the fact that a year on, he will return to find he’s got a better set of players behind him. I’d stick him in the middle of the three attacking midfielders, wides been a bit of a non event for him. He could be a revelation in that role. If he can’t produce there then move him on. |
 | Forum Reply | This seasons teams to be relegated from the Premier League at 18:56 29 Sep 2026
I’m guessing they’ll stay put in the Premier as the powers that be will be too frightened to relegate them. It’ll be announced they’ll get a £200 million fine and minor points deduction and everyone will go ‘ooh that’ll teach em’. The bit you won’t hear is they’ll want the tax back on the £830 million of overstated income and HMRC will give them a rebate of £320 million. City get a nice little earner and we all move on. |

As beef and lamb are sold at extortionate prices, on principle, I refuse to buy them unless heavily discounted. Have moved onto pork for a roast dinner, something I considered bottom of the pile as a culinary delight, but Tescos of all people are selling a decent bit of pork at £7-9 for two and cooked properly, with an excellent bit of crackling taboot, is great value. I’m convinced that meat is being deliberately over priced to slowly wean us off and onto plant based replacements so that when AI gets its act together, it can justifiably eradicate all human life as the need for meat, including our very own self’s, has proved itself irrelevant. |

We’re going to need to take the few chances we’re likely to get at West Ham, think this is the game we could risk having him up front. |

Best to treat international qualifiers like pre season friendlies or first round league cup matches, just completely ignore them unless you really have nothing else to do. If the year ends in an odd number, 47 competitive games is more than enough to enjoy yourself. If it ends in an even number, enjoy a cheaper than usual holiday last two weeks of June, nothing to see there and take in the last two weeks of the relevant international competition, that’s all you ever need to watch. Only caution is the holiday discount is not so prevalent these days as more and more realise the futility of group games. |

Reckon we could have achieved our ultimate aim, winning a game with 1% overall possession. Sadly Prince Charles has wrecked that ever happening. |
 | Forum Reply | Man City - GUILTY at 09:23 26 Sep 2026
Seems like they can’t banish them to the EFL as it’s a separate body, and they’re not going to throw them out altogether. Given our £42m fine has essentially hobbled and condemned us to 10 years of bottom half of the Championship, perhaps something that eats away at them in a similar slow fashion should be carried out. Total up how many seasons indiscretions and give them a 12 point deduction for that many seasons going forward. Will stop them winning the title and over time, top players won’t want to go there. |

If there’s any photographic awards going about, that first picture should be winning it. Should put it forward for next years Countryfile calendar, there’s hardly a bird that can fly like that. |

Hope they haven’t stripped him of his 80’s Hofmeister follow the bear persona. This one looks as if he doesn’t like going out at night. |

One of those tackles that could have caused serious injury, I’m surprised we bothered to appeal. He should get a three game ban purely for appalling ball control. |

I’m far too busy heading and kicking every ball out of our box. Incidentally I went up front second half and buried Adamsons cross to the back post. We definitely won 3-2 despite what it says in the papers. Why do we only do the Kamara song away from home, that’d be great coming from three sides of the ground. |
