Very enjoyable read Clive lve just finished reading The hard yards by Nige Tassell which basically is a review of last season’s championship.Have to say you are in a different league with your articles that are both informative but for me very amusing especially for fellow homeandawayer. |

Very good read and I can relate to the good the bad and the amusing you have touched on as a fan who is a regular Home and Away.Have seen the changes over the many years( 55)ive followed football in the lower divisions.Hate the fact I can’t go and drink where I want when travelling to away grounds now despite me and my mates being pensioners whilst where we play now all of the pubs around the ground are for home and away fans the same as it was at Griffin Park.This has worked as I have never seen any real agro between fans at either ground in recent years.The low allocation for away fans has obviously helped though.
The marching gear has become the norm amongst the mainly younger crowd these days which is a massive problem as that mixed with alcohol can be lethal for fans behaviour.This isn’t as you have pointed out a solely football problem I will see worse at the Cheltenham festival in a few weeks I expect. |

Gone out on yet another humorous yet “nail on the head “observations have really enjoyed reading all you reports whether you win lose or draw you put your own style of bringing a smile to the face of any grounded football fan.Thanks for letting me in from the outside and hope I’ve not been too of an irritant I have never come on and gloated after recent games although I was a bit of a knob
Wednesday night after too many drinks and being thoroughly f***** off.Look forward to the new season and hopefully able to resume at our new stadium with all fans present and I expect going on the state of our players in the last 3 games to see you there.Have a great summer 👠|

Good assessments of the game Clive.i was behind the Ealing Road goal and thought the shout for a penalty in the opening minutes on Watkins was stone wall at the time and the free kick given against Manning that led to the first goal was very soft and thought the Lino was bullied by the crowd calling for hand ball by the rangers player ive since seen both incidents on sky and havent changed my mind.In fact you will see manning is fouled first.Overall our midfield came out well on top and kept the usually excellent Eze quiet and Henry kept the impressive B O S fairly quiet except for your goal would love to have them in our side.
I agree the Ref was useless for both sides on occasions but gave us lots of free kicks in the second half that were not and ignored many of ours on your players.Players like Eze and BOS need time to progress under Warburton and he will do that and develop a team around them and steer clear of loan players if possible it’s taken years for us to realise that.Didnt think the game lived up to my expectations as far as end to end football goes maybe the wind didn’t help. |

Usual excellent report which pretty well reflects the way I saw if from the upper section.I thought at the time the penalty was soft and after seeing it later on the box confirmed it was a poor decision by the useless Woolmer.Thought we deserved to win but we were wasteful with our chances although Kelly pulled off some good saves.Surprised me when I heard we only had 2 players on the field from the last game we played at LR a year ago.Fair play to the breadman he has certainly improved Eze who has never really impressed in previous games against us but was impressive all game.Will be interesting to see where we both are in January when we meet for the last time at Griffin Park hopefully we will still have all of the players who played last night at the club and not cashed in. |

Brooks was poor Saturday was star struck with Fat Frank on the bench and Ashley Cole making an appearance and lost control of the game.Hes going to be tested tonight that’s for sure good luck. |
