The Swans will be well installed in their pre match camp by this evening ready to take on Derby County on Saturday (12:30pm) With the away side confirming two new signings. One exclusively here on the Indy, there’s much to look forward to.

And a brilliant away support of two thousand to boot.

Head Coach, Vitor Matos must have found it difficult in his pre match gathering knowing that the club had just about completed the signing of Jenson Seelt (below in green) on loan from Sunderland. As we have reported all along this summer loans have been well off the menu but with Jamestown Analytics providing some exceptional data on Seelt and an excellent review of his time at VfL Wolfsburg last season needs must and this need for Saturday was crucial.

Ben Cabango is cited as fifty fifty for Saturdays game which tells us that Jenson Seelt may well accompany Stephen Welsh as the centre back pairing. This leaves Filip Lissah and Josh Key to fight it out for the right back spot. With Stephen Eustáquio (below in black) a permanent signing from FC Porto in the ranks and an easily cleared work permit sorted we surely will see him at some point on the weekend ? He has the experience to go right into a starting eleven, albeit not in a cut and thrust Championship fixture.

That can be an eye opener for the most talented and experienced player.

As Stephen stated this afternoon, “I’m very happy, it’s an amazing city and I can’t wait to get started. The dream of being part of a big club looking to get back to the top league was the big attraction for me. Obviously, it’s going to be very hard, but at the same time, if you think game by game, it’s very possible to create a special atmosphere here in the stadium, and it might be a special season. Who knows?”

Matos was delighted with the signing of Seelt. “He brings physicality and aerial dominance, but also a composure on the ball and ability to read the game. We are happy he will spend the rest of the season with us and we look forward to integrating him into the squad.” As already mentioned loans re nit his preference but really this looks like a hole has been plugged for now. For us more of a Cameron Burgess replacement than Cabango.

This has been a wonderful window with the Swans owners pledging multi millions to get this team into the Premier League, the same as they did last summer. The next four games will give us all an idea how this Swans side will gel together.

Some tough fixtures which won’t all come up roses but Matos has had the full support from majority owners Bret Cravatt and Jason Cohen to get who he wants to make them realistically winnable,

Derby County head coach, John Eustace seems to be under a bit of pressure if the excellent SwansCast online are anything to go on. Their invited Derby County fan wasn’t at all happy with how his team are going. That said Eustace isn’t fazed as it stands despite Derry Murkin, Sam Szmodics, Matt Clarke and jPatrick Agyemang are all looking doubtful, in fact a few of that number are most certainly out. Pisa striker, Henrik Meister who has had the nod from his club to leave either on loan (£1M) or for around £7M on a permanent. The Foxes, Hamza Choudhury Is also on the radar for the Rams as is Ben Brereton Diaz who is currently at Southampton.

It’s all a bit last minute with these areas being crucial to the Rams campaign.

Eustace though has stated, “It's important that we get the right characters and the right people in and if that player’s to come in, brilliant. He's (Meister) obviously a player on the radar, as three or four others are, so I don't really want to comment too much on him because he's not our player. We've got a really good recruitment team here. There's lots of data and analytics that's going into it as well, so whatever happens, there's three or four other players from all over Europe that have been flagged up so let's just wait and see. There's players coming to the front now that hopefully we can get sorted before the end of the window”
