I don't use my printer that often and don't print photos but it's run out of ink.
Not wanting to pay over £60 for Epson's inks can anyone recommend a compatible Ink firm?

Lots out there, don't want to get any £5 knockoffs on eBay.

Thanks in advance

I buy refill kits and top up the empty ones. The on-line ones are OK I've used them for years

Stinky ink was the one I used recently - far cheaper and seems to be good enough.

Yep, the cartridges from these people are excellent.

Got an old Epson myself, use the T1811/12/13/14 range - XL size just over a fiver each and never had a problem.

You do get Epson message telling you they're not compatible, just ignore it, they work perfect.

This. Also worth investing in a chip resetter as the Epson status monitor tends to report that the cartridges are empty and disable the printer when there's still ink remaining.

Here is the thing it's the black that is empty, it use to let me still print with the 3 colours but after an update, it just keeps going on about the fecking black being empty and needing to be replaced.

Can't do a clean or test or anything

Does anyone know of a way around it? till I get some new ink

Don't know about a chip resetter?
