Again, I'm not interested in the feelings of failing recruiters and suppliers, I'm specifically addressing the false assertion that "nothing is being built". I've provided undeniable supporting evidence in the form of a long list of recent and current building works that I, you, and anyone in West London with eyesight knows full well is taking place. And my list only covers my corner of West London, there are numerous projects throughout the city that negate the claim. Had the statement been "less is being built", I could get on board with that but for both you and wombat to claim that "nothing is being built" is plainly nonsense . Doubling down on this nonsense despite clear and obvious evidence to the contrary is a state of denial. Wrong and strong still equals wrong. [Post edited 18 May 15:21]

Sorry but Celtic's second goal shouldn't have stood. The linesman flagged correctly and VAR should've stayed out of it. The goal scorer was well offside. Sure, he didn't directly receive the pass but he gained a significant advantage that allowed him to get to the cross a split second before the Hearts goalkeeper. Had he stayed onside, he would've had more ground to cover and the Hearts goalkeeper would've beaten him to the cross. Frankly, VAR won Celtic the Scottish Premiership this week with 2 dreadful decisions, the ridiculous penalty at Motherwell and overturning the offside decision against Hearts. Decisions like these only confirm my belief that in the modern game money talks. |

I don't trust you, I trust my eyes and my high IQ. I've given you a list as long of both of your arms combined of developments across West London. Those are the facts and facts trump feelings. Now that's not to say that it's not getting harder and folk aren't losing their jobs but there are a multitude of reasons for that. What's clear is that your assertion that "nothing is being built" is clearly and unequivocally false. QED |

Nothing is being built right now? I need to go to Specsavers because I could have sworn that in the past few years I've seen the following spring up: Large scale development across East Acton Large scale development across North Acton Total redevelopment of South Acton estate Flats opposite Acton Main line station Redevelopment of BBC TV centre Imperial buildings Numerous developments along the Uxbridge Road in Ealing Broadway As least 4 tower blocks between Uxbridge Road West Ealing and Waitrose Big development on the old Guinness site in Park Royal Blocks of flats on the old B&Q site by Alperton station Huge development on Greenford Quay (the old GSK/Hovis site) New development opposite Perivale Tesco New development on the Uxbridge Road by West Ealing park New development opposite Gypsy Corner New development beside the A40 McDonalds High rise on Hanger Lane gyratory Huge development on the road behind the Ace cafe all the way to Alperton High rise tower blocks behind Acton police station Old Oak development And that's off the top of my head in my little corner of West London. Now I don't doubt that it's getting more difficult to develop in London (for a number of reasons) but that clearly hasn't stopped some developers. |

Acton was a pretty decent place to live 20-30 years ago. It's now a hovel. However, I agree that a redevelopment of the Car Giant territory will improve the local area and you'll always find people that want to live there. |

Ah, diddums. Do you need an arm around your shoulder? A group hug? Some therapy perhaps? Get over yourself, you're the one who started swearing. |

I don't recall answering Connell directly. It's called irony and was used to emphasise the general hyperbole around an average young player who missed 2 sitters today yet some would have me believe that (a) he'll be a great player, (b) he's better than Kolli, and, my personal favourite, (c) he's the next Wayne Fereday. For a while now I've felt the 2 clubs have been on pretty similar trajectories, a point reinforced by the current league standings. Both teams have 57 points having both recorded 16 wins, 9 draws, and 9 defeats to date. With both clubs making consistent losses and still reliant on ownership funding, I don't expect our paths to diverge greatly in the short-to-medium term (incoming play-off system notwithstanding). Indeed. An improvement from 3 to 5 out of ten is hardly worth shouting about. As I said earlier, conditioning needs to improve markedly next season, and across the board, whether that be injuries, fitness to compete for the full 90+ minutes, or the endurance to manage 3 game weeks. Don't try it. You're now quoting an entirely different post. I'm referring to your reply to B Mac where you stated: "Think that’s harsh Brian: 2nd game of a long weekend in warm conditions: doubt any of the better Championship teams were strutting around in peak condition at the end of their matches today. Thought we looked fitter than Preston as evidenced by us breaking and creating more chances as the game reached its conclusion." Blaming the conditions and a 2 game long weekend is the usual lazy defence of an insipid performance. As for other Championship teams, I doubt you watched every game so comparisons are futile. As Vancouver rightly pointed out, most players looked dead on their feet. Yes, we created a few chances towards the end but I think that has more to do with the lift the equaliser gave us rather than anything Cycling Ben has been doing. [Post edited 6 Apr 20:44]

That's where I see it. Of course I want Daniel to succeed, he's my namesake after all. However, he should've won us the game today and should be told so in no uncertain terms. |

And then, of course, there's his ability to put the ball in the back of the net. |

Never. If I were to make such glaring mistakes at work, I'd be getting the tin tack. Now put down the candy and let the little kid go. |

Give it a rest, Walter, nobody died. He's an Aussie. He's made of sterner stuff than you, he doesn't need your sympathy. Support him by all means but don't go overboard by touting him as the next Yamal. Today was further evidence that he has much to improve and is currently not as good as Kolli.
