Agree with everything you say, except repeating the lazy trope about the allegedly racist Daily Mail. I haven't gone back to look up what they said about Sterling and Foden but as I recall they're fairly evenhanded in berating players for bad behaviour whatever their colour. And Martin Samuel's piece in the Mail today about Millwall etc, though far too verbose, is not saying anything much different from what you are.

You're rather proving my point there. You're on the right, you think Trump is great, so anybody who dares to suggest that it's maybe not ideal for the captain of a club that is currently trying to walk a very delicate and nuanced position through a highly emotive and controversial issue to be using his social media channels to pedal conspiracy theories about the US election (not support for Trump, conspiracy theories about a democratic election) is "intollerant" and a "shame".

Great piece of writing and showing just how divide and conquer politics on both sides of the pond is seeping into everyday life. Life very rarely is pure Black and White(Intentional Pun) yet somehow much of the media portrays this as being the case.
The Millwall booing thread on here is a case in point.
For me the kneeling for BLM is a token and allows Sky to pat itself on the back for its inherent wokeness I see it very much along the lines of wearing a poppy. It's a gesture to allow people who do very little to help themselves feel a little better about themselves | | | |

Hardly “dismissed”, more moved on from as a source of a joke in the match previews. As a Rangers player, he will still have my support on the pitch.
No problem with him being a Trump Supporter, but helping peddle the electoral fraud conspiracy theory is fanning the flames of division rather than trying to unite people.
If wide-scale electoral fraud is ever proven, I will be happy to withdraw my suggestion. | | | |
